I don't know what going on, but it's really starting to piss me off. Basically I've gained 8 pounds in the past two weeks. WTF? I see absolutely no reason for it....I've finally gotten back on track with my diet, I'm working out more (but not too much- like 40min 4 times a week) and I *gain* weight?! I'm starting to feel like what's the point? I can sit on my ass all day and eat whatever I want and maintain, but I try to lose a few pounds and I gain? So. Not. Fair.
And it's not muscle or whatever becasue I am fatter. Right in the middle. I've lost my ass and boobs, but have a majorly paunchy stomach. I've gone from being more or less an hourglass (albeit with not very much waist definition) to being a complete apple. Huh??? AND I've gone from being a perfectly healthy weight to being "overweight". WTF?? I'm so upset...I don't know what to do...I don't know what's wrong with me. I don't know what to do. My pants are all too tight and I feel horrible about myself....I feel so ugly and gross that I don't even want to get dressed/ go out/ so anything.
Maybe it's just from the change in exercise? I usually gain weight when I first start working out. I'd wait a few weeks and see if it drops back down..
That is almost exactly what happened to me when I was first diagnosed with thyroid disorder. I was working out every day, eating well, out of no where gained 10 lbs in about 3 weeks. I also gained it all in the waist, and I've NEVER carried extra weight around my stomach.
That said, if you are otherwise feeling okay. I'd probably give it another few weeks to see if your body adjusts to the increased excersize and better eating. You could just be hanging on to a bunch of water for one reason or another.
I'm so sorry you are going through this. I recently posted about my weight troubles, I know how frustrating it can be to be working so hard and gaining! It's complete BS.
It could be a weight gain due to stress. I know that you have expressed a high level of stress and frustration lately. My trainer told me that it is possible to gain weight from bad stress and women tend to hold it around the mid section. Whatever it is I hope that you are able to pin point the issue and take care of it post haste!! Good luck!

That sounds strange to me. If you have decent health insurance, I'd probably see if you can get a dr's appointment in the next week or so. If it clears up by then, great, but if not, at least you can get it checked out before the holidays.
Didn't you go off of your BC pill recently?? I may be wrong, if so - sorry!
When I went off my pill and was trying to maintain/lose a little weight before getting pregnant it had a reverse effect on me. I gained about 7 pounds (if I remember correctly). I was eatting less, exercising more, and still the weight came on. I asked my OBGYN about it and she said it was perfectly normal. Some will be lucky and lose around 10 pounds going off the pill and some will gain it. It all has to do with your hormones and such. She told me to keep doing what I was doing and once my body adjusted I would hopefully lose the weight. I didn't get to see much of a loss because I became pregnant and rest is history!
Try not to be so hard on yourself. Our bodies sometimes have minds of their own and there's not much we can do about it! Buy a few pieces of clothes in the size that you are now and dress your body with what works. It will make you feel better as your working to get back in your regular clothes!

nope, I was never on the pill.
I'm going to give it a week and see if I lose anything. The past 2-3 days I haven't been feeling great, so maybe I'm just getting sick (I don't see why that would make me gain wieght, but you never know).
