Why I can't stand Gwyneth

I am seriously so tired of Actors ripping our country. yes I know she's entitled to her opinion but who the hell does she think goes to see her movies?? Ummm yeah Americans.

"I love the English lifestyle, it's not as capitalistic as America. People don't talk about work and money, they talk about interesting things at dinner. I like living here because I don't fit into the bad side of American psychology. The British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans."

- Gwyneth Paltrow told Portugal's Diario de las Noticias on Saturday

And can I just say, that is a HORRIBLE picture of her - I didn't think she was pretty at all when she first appeared in Seven, and this is how I have pictured her ever since. I hope she stays in Europe where it's "civilized"

I'm so glad I'm not alone in my despise for her.  She's such a snob, and personally, I think she's a crappy actress.

She is a stuck-up brat. I'd like to hear her idea of interesting dinner conversation *puke*

I have always disliked her. I don't get her success - I don't think she's talented or attractive in any way. Her hair also bugs the crap out of me.

I always love a good sweeping generalization.

No kidding!  If she thinks everyone talks about work and money, she needs to expand her social circle.

Anyway, I've always disliked her.  I don't think she's a very good actress.  She plays every character exactly the same, IMO.

Here is what bugs me - So she can diss on Americans for there talk of money and lifestyle, yet it is the americans who support her AND her husband so that they have enough money to go be snobs with the british.

Aside from being pretentious, the remark is just moronic... the Brits practically invented the class system! They may not talk openly about money, but I can guarantee you wealth and class are even more deeply ingrained into that culture than they are into ours. She always just sounds like such a snobby, self-important, vapid little brat.

2nd all of this. Plus, it's easy to not worry about money when you are born into Hollywood wealth and you only have to do a few shitty movies to keep up your bank account.

Yeah, she sucks.  I wonder how her mother feels about her comments and attitude, or if she is the same way (although, she still lives here, doesn't she?).

hmm, yea pretentious, snobby, and not a good thing to say to your fan base.  That said, i'm not insulted in the least.  Just because I'm american doesn't mean i can't see where she's coming from.  not that i agree that its better elsewhere- she probably just doesn't have money or work talks because no one cares about her in England.

I despise that woman. She ruins any film she is in. For instance, I loved the book Running with Scissors, but I'm not too jazzed to see the film version because she is in it.

I have heard her make comments like this before. Like (and I'm paraphrasing here):

I only wear fur in Europe because Americans don't get it.

or

In Europe, dinner conversations are fun, intelligent, etc. People talk about film and art and politics. In America, people ask you what jeans you're wearing.

Meanwhile, the bitch is walking around in $300 jeans, but acting like she doesn't care.

Wasn't she on the macrobiotic bandwagon a few years ago? And now an EAT MEAT! shirt is on her skelatal body?

So, what she's proving she's a hypocrate, ugly and likes to demean the very people who watch her crappy movies?

I just don't like her, regardless if I'm wrong about the whole macrobiotic thing...

I don't think her shirt actually says EAT MEAT.  Perez Hilton often hand writes things over the photos they post, I'm pretty sure they added that.

Lynnie - I kind of get what you are saying.  There are other people who could say that and it probably wouldn't bother me so much, but since I already think she's a snobby bitch...

I just don't like her.  She always seems so holier than thou.  And she looks horrid in that picture.
