Hey,


Did anyone catch Heroes last night? I didn't feel like it was the most riveting episode but it did answer alot of questions.

Theres a group of us that all watch Heroes together and we said the same thing.  I'm glad they explained more about everyone, I was getting tired of feeling like I was in the dark.  Next week looks good though!!

I really liked the back stories and all but I was a little bummed that we didn't get to pick up where the last episode left off.  I love heros though, it's the best new show!

what the deal with niki?  i'm confused about how it's a power in the hero-sense.  and sylar's eyebrows were out. of. control.

i think with nicki it's that she gets some kind of super-ass-kicking strength or something when she shifts to jessica. she lifted her dad up by the neck with one arm!

i figured she's a more aesthetically pleasing version of the hulk.


for all the screen time devoted to her, i still have a lot of unresolved questions.  does jessica appear when she looks into a mirror for a while?  how does she go away?

jessica appears whenever nicole can't deal with what's going on or becomes angry, i think. that's why nicki has no recollection of her dad's behavior - jessica would "show up" and take the beatings. i'm not sure how the mirror comes into it, except to either show her changing (i have to say, i'm impressed with this girl's ability to change her face - i can totally tell when it's nicki vs. jessica), or when she's nicki and looks into the mirror, she'll sometimes see jessica looking at her - but i don't think that makes her emerge.

I thought it was amazing.

So I guess Sylar kills the other heros bec he felt like such a failure and wants to be the only "special" one?

dh and i love this show!! one question though, is sylar killing everyone b/c that is how he gets their powers? b/c he killed the first guy, who could move things just by looking at them and then he was able to do it....i was a little confused about that.

also...on a side note, a little intersting fact...not sure if anyone cares but me, but the politician guy (the one who can fly) is married to natalie maines (the lead singer of the dixie chicks).

i thought sylar wanted to absorb their powers by picking out pieces of their brains, and their deaths were only inconsequential side effects to his quest.  i don't understand how the HELL eating/absorbing bits of brain = transfer of super power, but for this show, my blind eye is turned.

Are you serious?  Jan 22?  They said the new year..I didn't know they meant till the end of January


I love this show!  Last night was great - looks like Peter is responsible for it all?  Can't wait for the next episode - wish it wasn't such a long wait.


Going back two weeks...isn't Jessica Niki's dead sister?  I'm really confused about that whole storyline...

Jessica is Niki's little sister who her father killed. I'm think Niki saw it and that's when her personality split. It just so happens when her personality splits she becomes uber strong as well. Or she's posessed by her dead sisters ghost? Who knows but I love it.

ahhh!! they're all coming together!! i love this show!!


that said, i felt so bad for claire.  she looked so abandoned and alienated.  her father might not be as evil as he initially seemed, but he still is pretty creepy.  and the jessica/niki thing is still leaving me confused.  she seems more like sybil than a super hero.

I think there is a long wait because I don't think they planned on the show being a hit. Now they are having to film new episodes.

this is the first show in weeks i didn't think "what the heck is going on?" every five minutes...


i'm glad i stuck with it b/c it is starting to come together better and i am really enjoying it!
