I saw this today in the drugstore, the Clairol Clear Gloss Treatment for your hair. It's basically like getting the hair gloss treatment at a salon, but this was the at-home version. It says the gloss should keep your hair shiny for 4 weeks, which sounds fantastic to me. The box didn't really give a lot more info...and I am very cautious to use new products. Has anyone used this? What did you think?
i haven't seen their boxed version, but their radiance gloss is fantastic. (which they sell at beauty supply stores) i imagine this is just an easier to use version of it for home. i find clear doesn't last as long as a color gloss, though. so it's more like 2 weeks.
I have used the treatment.. I found that it lightened/changed my color a bit. It gave some shininess but nothing any different than a drop or spritz of serum would do. I bought it during the "at home glaze" craze (along with other products) and was not impressed by any of them.

i've had this happen before from a clear glossing. does the box say it has ammonia or peroxide? (it really shouldn't change your color, but it will if it has either of those -- even in low amounts)
Erin- that was the true reason that I posted about this. I read the ingredients on the box and peroxide was high on the list...which really concerned me. I'm going to pass on using this product because I really don't want to change my hair color right now.
yeah, i wouldn't do it if you are worried about that, and agree with xtina about using a spritz or serum. (i really like redken vinyl glam, and when i had extremely fried hair that had no shine (from three repeated bleachings to get it white), i used to douse my hair with aquage ultra shine complex. (which is too heavy/greasy now for my hair)
