Who's braving Black Friday??

Probably, if I end up staying at my parents through Friday...plans are up in the air about how long I will be staying there. All depends on how fast the family can annoy me.

If I am up there on Friday, mom has big plans to take all her girls out shopping on Black Friday since we will all be home that day. So, it would probably be more of a bonding thing than anything else as well.

i'm undecided. i guess it depends on whether or not there are good online sales as well.

i am debating going downtown, because i think saks usually has an extra 40% off sale then, and i think it won't be nearly as crowded as, say target or walmart.

I can't decide.

I actually don't have that many people to shop for this year - my friends and I only give little trinkets, my family never gives any gifts because there are over 100 of us! My parents, brothers, and I have all made a pact not to bother with shopping for each other, because we've been through so much stress this year anyway.

So, I'd like to go shopping because I really do love it every year and usually go with my cousin, mom, and aunt. But I can't see a great point to it, with no one to buy for. The only person I can think of that I'm buying real presents for is my boyfriend, but I've found everything I want to give him online.

I'm undecided as well. I know the crowds will be CRAZY, but there will also be some great sales, just not sure if I want to wake up w/the chickens on my day off.

The BF and I always get up early and head over to Circuit City to get good deals on stuff. They are never as crowded as the other stores (at least not the one we go to in DT Chicago) and they price match so it is all good.

Other than that, no way Jose.

We never go since none of the stuff thats super cheap is ever on our list. This year however, we want a laptop, camera, phone, etc. The plain is DH & his buddies are going together, but I'll probably be standing at another store for them...but I dont know...crazy crowds scare me. Eek!

I'm actually going to be insane and go to the good mall on Black Friday. AND I have to brave interstate traffic to get there (it's 45 miles away).

What's really funny though, is that when I originally thought of going out on Friday, my only thought was "I'm going to be bored just sitting around the apt., I think I'll go to the mall that day". Only after I thought that did I realize it was going to be Black Friday.

Oh well!

I am! My friends mom is in from out of town and they're going and invited me along. If it's too insane to handle I'll head home since Michigan ave is 5 minutes from my house. so no loss no gain if it's too much. hopefully I'll be able to get a few good deals though. I've never actually been out on Black Friday so I have no clue what to expect!

If I do, it will be tangential to other events. We're planning to go downtown and ice skate on the Common - have a drink in the bar of the hotel where we got married and maybe peek into some stores on Newbury street, but I don't think we'll head to any malls. I once went to the Beverly Center three days before Christmas and almost had a nervous breakdown in the parking structure, and I don't want to make that mistake again!

i'm probably going to out myself on what a HUGE GEEK i am, but i'm going to frye's (a huge electronics store). i'll be heading out with my dad, while my mom circles the parking lot, since it'll be packed from 5am onwards. 500GB hard drive, here i come!

Absolutely not! I will not be anywhere near any kind of shopping venue on Black Friday. Actually, I'll avoid them for the entire holiday season. That's what the internet is for.

No way. It's now almost 11 a.m. on Black Friday and I am so happy not to be out in it!

The only thing we might go for today is a live Christmas tree. DH has wanted one for years...

We are going on Monday (he is taking the day off work) to holiday shop - hopefully we will finish it then and won't be so frantically buying things as the big day approaches.
