So, i haven't talked to him in a few days. After talking to my mom I think I need to tell him we can't talk anymore unless/until he does some stuff (ie. gets a job up here, starts going to therapy, moves up here, etc.) This relaly sux. I'm single for the first time in 5.5 years... How do you even begin to date again? I highly doubt we're gonna work out in the long run, but who knows... Anyways, I just wanted to say happy Thanksgiving and thanks for the support!

You sound like you're feeling better -- all progress is good!

I know it's hard to think about dating again, so my advice is to not thinking about dating at all! :) At this point things are just too fresh for that. When you've been with one person for this long, the idea of starting over again is exhausting. All that effort put into getting to know someone and deciding if you like them can look like just way too much. But with time, it won't look that way anymore. You just need to give yourself the time to get over it before dating again looks appealing -- you'll know when you're ready!

Quit picking up the phone!!  Just let it be for a week and then see how you feel and if you want to try talking to him through email.  Just let the phone go for now.
