I don't know.... I think with all those palettes, you end up only using 2 or 3 of the colors and the rest just go bad. Have you tried Laura Mercier's 4 color palates at Sephora - really good color combos, less to go bad. Chanel has good ones too
It looks like a good gift idea or a nice piece for someone who has NO makeup in their bag. It looks like little teeny squares of color which might not last for very long (3 applications or so). The colors are a good variety, but who really uses 12 different shades of violet? I feel like its too bulky to use for the glosses (I like to have those on the go). The tools included will probably be of crap quality and you'll end up using your own tools. Unless if you really need to add some shadows to your collection or like to play dress up, I would skip on this one.
Sephora brand make up is good but it is not of the highest quality if you know what I mean. So for $40 that is really a steal based on what their prices normally are but for about the same price you could get a better quality makeup pallette from another brand that had less makeup to it but it would last longer on your face and in the pallette. Stila, Too Faced, & Lorac to name a few I've used usually have really good pallettes. Dior and Chanel too but those are a little more pricey and I haven't used one yet to comment on them.
