Woo hoo!!! I loved every minute of the completely-gratuitous-but-nonetheless-highly-enjoyable half naked gym scene!
The Baltar scenes on the base star are so deliciously creepy and weird. Everytime you think he cannot possibly get more creepy and deranged, he shatters his previous record. However, I still definitely do not think he is a cylon.
Sharon though--is she going to get sick now, from having been within range of the Cylon bio-bomb? I loved that, by the way. Proof that there are other humans around besides the colonials, and that they've met cylons before.
Also loved the Adama beat-down. I know Starbuck and Tigh went through hell but I hated them both after last episode. The last episode was so ugly.
Also, I'm confused. The cylons said they wanted earth to be their new home. What about the old colonies? Until now, I'd thought the bunch that was overseeing the occupation of new caprica was just a small contingent, and that most of them were still back at the old colonies, rebuilding their perfect little Cy-topia. But the way they were talking, it sounded like they'd decided to abandon the old colonies after murdering the billions of original inhabitants.
And I know Jacob over at Television Without Pity will have a lot to say about how if the humans try to commit genocide against the cylons it will be as evil as what the cylons did to the humans, but I call bullshit. Wiping out a civilization that murdered the rest of your species and tries to attack you at every chance they get seems like self-defense to me. Murdering billions as an act of large-scale ethnic cleansing is completely different. However, it's a moot point, because they won't do it... BSG would be nothing without the toasters!

Agreed. And he'd be much less interesting as a cylon. You know, Baltar is so incredibly predictable, in that he always chooses whatever option is the best for him personally, but at the same time, I'm still shocked by his actions, such as when strangling an (oddly brunette?) Number Six. He is one screwed up individual.

Completely agreed. I had been liking Tigh a lot this season, and of course, my love for Starbuck is well-documented, but my GODS, I hated them after the last ep. (But I actually kind of started to liked Anders... ) But yes, Adama let them have it and it was awesome. But you can't tiptoe around those two and think they'll pay attention to you. Of course it seems like Starbuck is trying to get her shit together, whereas Tigh...oh poor Tigh... I actually wanted to see those form a more positive relationship, but maybe we still will.
I too, wonder if "Athena" is going to get sick. (I'm not sure I like that name yet...but it's good they gave her a new callsign) It seems like they don't quite know what to do with her right now, so that may be the way it's going.
As far as the cylons deciding Earth will be their new home, I kind of got the feeling that they're just like those annoying people that decide they independently had the same idea as you. Oh, you're moving to Earth, that's funny, so am I! They're just obnoxious that way. But who knows what's going on at the former 12 colonies. And yeah, they won't wipe out the cylons, but it will provide some interesting debate. But no, Adama would never let it happen.
And what about that cylon hybrid??? That thing is kind of creepy too.

I think she's going to get sick. I think that when Roslin tells Adama that the Cylons should be made extinct, that Adama and Helo will want to save Sharon, and that's how they'll find a cure for the cylon disease.
It seems like the characters go back to "normal" when they lose the thing that changed physically over the year on New Craprica. Starbuck cut her hair, she went back to normal. Same with Adama shaving his pornstace and (yay!) Lee hitting the gym. I think Tigh will get better when he gets a glass eye, or an eye patch.
