I set it at 60 when I leave for work, turn it up to about 68 when I'm home and back down to about 62 when I go to bed. I heat my house with fuel oil and try to conserve it the best I can.
I prefer to keep it at 74 degrees. It's not really efficient at heating because when it's super cold it's running all day long non stop to maintain that temperature. Sometimes I just turn it off at night so it's not constantly running. One morning the house was 58 degrees!'
For my bathroom I have this space heater which I leave on for about an hour before I take a shower because I don't want goosebumps when I'm naked!
around 72 all year round as long as I am at home. I like it on the cool side. I will only set it higher if the temps get below freezing and in TX, that's not often enough to make a habit of it.
ETA: that's a programmable therm., whether air cond or heat, 72 is usually cool and comfortable in my house.
