Just be careful, that stuff has a ton of synthetic ingredients and it coats your hair and makes it hard for dye to stick (I had this problem after using their products). This won't be so much of an issue if you don't dye your hair.
Really? I've been using one of the deep conditioning treatments (the pink tub thing) and I haven't noticed my color fading. Is it a pre or after coloring thing?

pre-coloring. Also, it will probably only effect you if you use semi-permanent. If you do permanent, you're probably fine.
I try not to use synthetic stuff on my hair though - it just coats your hair and creates a lot of unnatural build-up. It's really just like adding wax to your hair.
I have been using the deep conditioning Hydra TLC masque also… Love it! I highlight my hair and I have had no problems with my color fading, if anything I think it has helped my hair because after putting bleach in my hair, it tends to be dry and break (gross!). Anyways, I posted on another thread that I ordered free samples on the hairapy.com website and I took the hairapy quiz – it is so cute. Really helps people determine what color they are! I am pink of course due to my highlights, blow dryer and excessive flat ironing! What are your colors??

I'm pink and I use the masque thing also - from a rec on this board.
Kitty - How many washes should I not use that product before I get my hair colored again? Does that even make sense? I'll probably not get it highlighted again until January so should I stop using the masque two washes before? Four? A month? Or will it be fine if I just skip one wash? Am I making any sense?

Do you only highlight? You should be fine with peroxide - that stuff can cut through anything. I go darker, so it's harder to get the dye to stick when your hair is coated with the "waxy" build up of that product.

I wonder if that's the reason I have been having a hard time getting my color to stick! I was going to post about it, because I feel like I lose 30% or so of my color within the first week. What brand do you use?

I go to a salon to get my hair dyed. I've never had a problem with their dye working before, and this time I had a major problem. My hair stylist kept asking me if I had been using any type of new shampoo or conditioner or done any recent deep conditioners, etc. I kept saying no, no, I've been using the same shampoo for a long time - but then I remembered that I did this sunsilk mask a few times - I told her about it and brought it in and she basically said it's a shitty product and not to use it and is probably the reason for my dye not taking.

whoops, sorry -- I get mine dyed at the salon too. I meant: what shampoo/conditioner do you use?

Halleybird - have you ever tried the color depositing shampoo by Artec? I used that when I had my hair died dark and it always kept the color going a few more weeks than otherwise. Everytime I used it people asked if I'd recently had my hair colored. It's good stuff.
When my hair was dark, I used Biolage Color Care Shampoo and either a Biolage Color Care conditioner or the Redken Allsoft for colored hair and my color didn't fade for the longest ass time. It stayed super dark for about 6-8 weeks, actually. (I also didn't wash my hair more than 3 times per week, if that makes any difference to you.)

I have tried Artec, but I absolutely cannot stand the smell. It makes me gag, and I feel like I can smell it all day! My mom uses it on her hair, and she says she can't smell anything, but I think it smells like burnt hair. It does work well, though.
I have been alternating Sunsilk/Brilliant Brunette/Biolage. I guess I will keep doing so, and lay off the Sunsilk a few weeks before the coloring.
