My cousin's kid used to have the same hair. At big family reunions, where no one had met this boy before, they (especially older family who can't see so well) would remark on "that pretty blond girl." I know my cousin wanted her kids to be free spirits and everything, but I kind of think its cruel to give any kid a radical look. Kids are teased enough, they don't need more reasons. Plus, kids are just trying to figure out who they are. Having your parent actively make you different from your peers can only confuse you more.
