I'm finally getting my hair dyed tomorrow!! I was supposed to get it done a month ago (I get it re-done every 3 months) and my hairdresser was out of town and I wasn't able to get an appointment until tomorrow. This past month has been a living hell as far as my hair is concerned - my dark blonde roots are coming in (I dye my hair darker) and it looks really, really odd. It's also getting all dry and washed out.
I can't wait!!
In case you were wondering, there's no point to this post..I was just happy and felt like sharing!
yay for your hair happiness. i've got a little hair happiness myself. i have had this greasy spot in my hair for the past month that wouldn't go away no matter what i tried, but it is finaly gone. i used the sammy salon volume shampoo and conditioner and it did the trick. hate the shampoo and conditioner though. it's terrible, untill your hair is extremely dry, it feels like i've still got conditioner left in my hair and when it is dry, it is fluffy in a bad way, not in a good extra volume way. more like overbleached way toooooo dry way.
Kitty I know what you mean, I have to wait two more weeks for my hair color/cut and the roots are driving me nuts:furious. Even with make-up and cute clothes on I feel so yuk
Man, I am SO PISSED right now. I went to get my hair done. I told her I wanted it really dark and rich looking - kinda like Mandy Moore. we talked for 10 minutes about color and were in total agreement.
It came out looking EXACTLY THE SAME! I complained and was really upset (I almost cried, I am so lame) and so she's going to re-do it for me again after work....this is just such a waste of time, though and now i have zero confidence in her abilities.

I think a lot of hairstylists are too cautious in trying new things on their regular customers in fear of losing you. I hate to say this because I know how hard it is to find a good hairstylist, but maybe you need to switch. You could even go to someone else one time then go back to your regular person who will then see that you really did want something different. But hopefully she has figured it out that you trust her to try new things.
Kudoes to you for complaining though. I probably would have smiled and said it was wonderful and then went home and b!tched.
Oh, I think there was some confusion..this wasn't my regular sylist.
I specifically said to err on the side of being too dramatic - and my hair came out looking exactly the same.
I went back and had it re-dyed after work..still not dark enough. I have to go back AGAIN tomorrow.
I'm so freakin' annoyed right now...

Maybe you should just cut your losses and go to a different person to get the color you want. After all, you don't want to go back a fourth time I'm sure. That really sucks though and I'd be pissed, although I probably wouldn't have said anything either because I'm a chickent when it comes to stuff like that; but kudos to you!

That's what my mom said, but I can't afford to go to someone else right now and shell out another $150. Sorrow :(
