Okay ladies for I have this vision of striped curtains for kitchen and dinning room. Colors like orange, hunter green, dark yellow, these colors are what is in my kitchen/d/r area. Should I keep the walls the off white color it is or paint it yellow? Iam open to other ideas.TIA
I like a yellow kitchen, very sunny. I'd go with a soft yellow though. No need to go lemon custardy. (Too many people I know lately have gone to dark a yellow for my liking.)
Thanks ladies.GD I agree with soft yellow,Cortney1982 I do like the idea of green decisions, decisions Should I paint both kitchen and dinning room green or break up the rooms with different colors?
I may be too late to chime in (newbie, sorry) but: green tends to be a bad color for rooms where you eat or prepare food. The reflection cast by green makes everything a wee bit unappetizing - and not being a gourmet chef, personally, I need all the help I can get.
Orange supposedly stimulates the appetite, but you certainly can't go wrong with a soft, warm yellow. It's good for resale too since it's rather universally appealing.
yellow is a great color for a kitchen. Yellow actually is a color that encourages us to eat, so that is why you find alot of tuscan colors in kitchens ...

I totally agree. And I'm partial to yellow b/c it is my favorite color! My kitchen is yellow but not the walls, the accents (towels, plates, etc.) and it works. Yellow does increase appetite!
