I need your help and expertise ladies. Since Friday I've been constantly hungry no matter what I eat and I've never been like this before. I've been eating and eating and am hungry within a half an hour no matter what it is I've eaten before. I've tried eating different types of foods to see if they keep me full longer, but nothing seems to help. It's the painful kind of hunger. I get so hunger I feel like I'll throw up if I don't eat something, anything. I really don't know what could be causing this because, like I said this has never happened to me before. What do you ladies think it could be? TIA
Constant hunger like what you've described is sometimes a symptom of diabetes. Are you really thirsty too? Have you had to pee a lot? It could be glucose levels causing the hunger. Have you lost weight? You might ought to have a diabetes test...

I have been quite thirsty lately, but can you just get diabetes like that? I actually haven't lost weight, I've been gaining it because of all the extra eating I've been doing. It's really odd.
Maybe you're not exactly hungry, but maybe you have a pain in your stomach that you misinterpret as hunger? If it comes soon after you eat, maybe you're having a digestive problem...I know I'm not a whole lot of help but if that was happening to me I'd go to the doctor

With Type I diabetes, the symptoms usually occur very suddenly, but weightloss is common, so if you're gaining weight, I would say that may be a good sign. But if you're thirsty a lot and you're eating a lot, I woud still at least have your blood sugar checked....

This is kind of what I was thinking. On Saturday, I was at a party and I was doubled over in pain because I felt like something in my stomach burst. I have that sensation all over my stomach since then but not as intense. It's so weird. I never really tied the two together until now.
I think I'll call for an appointment on my lunch break.

Those were the first words out of my mom and sisters mouths last night when I was talking to them about this. Aunt Flo came to visit last week, but according to my sister that doesn't mean a thing. I think it does, especially since I am on the pill! I guess I'll just leave it to the doctor if I decide to go!
when you are on the pill, the chances of you still getting your period if you were to become pregnant are higher. the pill will cause you to still get your period. a friend of mine had that happen to her. she got pregnant and was almost 3 months pregnant before she knew because she still had her period. her doctor said that it happens a lot to women who get pregnant while on the pill.

Well I just went to the mall during my lunch break and decided to buy a pregnancy test just to rule it out because I guess you never know. I'm anxious to take it but I guess I will wait until morning to take it since that's the best time, right?
I really suggest calling a doctor just to be safe. There are a lot things in the belly region that could be causing pain that could turn into something serious if not attended to.
I know you don't want to think about bad things, and it is very likely that it is something silly like gas even...but better safe than sorry.
