kirk drove a car into lukes dinner which was totaly taylors fault but taylor won't take the blame. 

logan gave rory a gift that was supposed to mean something really special and she didn't get it at all until the end of the episode.  it was a rocket that meant true love or something like that.  and paris is trying to convince her that logan is going to cheat on her while he is in london.  and she found out he is not sending her a plane ticket to go see him until christmas so she got a little weird about that. 

lorelai told souki aobut christopher and she told her not to tell luke and that they should stay together.  lorelai told luke it was over.  then at the end of the episode he came back to her house with his truck packed to tell her he wanted to elope and go to maine and do all kinds of stuff for their honey moon and then she crushed him and told him she slept with christopher.  christopher called lorelai right before that and she told him that it was a one time thing and that it shouldn't happen again.  it was implied that he was thinking it was the beginning of something and was upset about it.  and that is about it. 

and lorelai folded babettes underwear.

I liked it. I thought the Taylor car scene was hilarious. Poor Luke. I loved it when Lorelai and Rory went to go play raquetball and the shot showed them sitting in the middle of the room talking. So perfect.

To be honest, I didn't feel bad for Luke at all. He acted like a jerk all last season and frankly, he deserves what he gets. I'm just sorry Lorelai messed things up so badly (although I suppose she did that on purpose) that they can't get back together once Luke gets his sh*t together.

Logan was so sweet with the rocket for Rory (ILC - it was from a Twilight Zone episode where a guy goes off to space in a rocket and reunites with his love when he comes back - there are other weird details but the jist is that Rory and Logan have true love). It totally sucked at the end when she called him to tell him she was going to London for the summer to be with him and he told her he got her a ticket to come over Christmas. I don't think he was being a jerk, I think he'll be super busy with work and wouldn't have time for anything else, but it still sucked.

The previews for next week showed Lorelai and Luke fighting in the middle of the street and Luke saying something about him being over the whole thing and Lorelai was the one who was still pining because after all, she asked him to marry her. The last shot was of Lorelai looking devastated, which was awesome. (In a tv drama kind of way, of course.)

I'm definitely thinking this season will be better than last season. The new guy seemed pretty decent as far as keeping the feel of the show. I think he did better than ASP did last season, fwiw. I was definitely not disappointed.
