Not quite sure if this is the right forum...


 


just wondering for those crafty girls out there - where do you buy your art supplies and stuff for hobbies like yarn for knitting and art supplies for painting.  i know about ebay for yarn - but i was wondering if there were any great affordable places you girls go.  (I'm in So. Cal...)


Is Pearl much cheaper than other places?  I awlays just go to Tall Mouse which is close to me.  Thanks!

My only choices are Jo-Ann fabrics and Michaels (both also have websites).   They always have good prices, and if it's not on sale they have 40% coupons.

For yarn, I really love theknittinggarden.com.  They have higher end yarn at much better prices than most brick and mortar stores.  I often go to my local yarn shop to pick out my yarn and color, then just order it online.  I would like to support the local shop, but I need to save, ya know.  Knitting Garden also have free shipping for orders over $75 (which i always manage to get above, especially for sweater yarn) and they usually have a 10% off code listed in their specials section.


Courtney had a good idea about JoAnn's, if you sign up for their mailing list, they'll send you 40% off coupons pretty frequently.
