i've never been to devon street for threading (i always say i'm going to) but it's super inexpensive there...
i go to b. rose salon on southport (cali is her name) because it's walking distance from my place. i would NOT recommend salon 1800. i had a really bad experience and a rude technician.

are you still in l.a.? if so, for sure try to go to anastasia's and ask for either anastasia, jasmine or michelle. you don't have to have an appt., walk-ins are from 9-11 and 2-4. and don't worry about how you look while recovering from surgery--trust me, no one will bat an eyelash.
if you're already in chicago, just look around for someone whose eyebrows you like and then ask them where they go. and when you do go, be specific about what you want. when my friend moved from la to connecticut, she had to be really firm and specific because in connecticut (or at least what she experienced in connecticut) she felt like people pluck too much in the middle and leave the eyebrows too far apart. so she made sure to tell her new eyebrow lady not to do that!
Thank you for the recommendations ladies-- I really appreciate it!
Esquiress: Thanks hon but I'm leaving LA tomorrow morning! I've heard such good things about Anastasia but I've been so scared to leave the house until my swelling goes down. I will definitely walk-in next time I'm in LA.
