I am prepared to be really annoyed with this movie. Anyone else?
I loved Garden State when it first came out -- now I find it overly quirky, but I still like the basic idea of this guy coming home, making peace with his past, and finding love. But this Last Kiss movie just looks like a retread of some of the same issues, with Zach Braff now torn between two girls. Is it just me?
I am a HUGE ZB fan and am totally excited to see this movie.
I actually saw the original version of this movie (it is in Italian with English subtitles) and it is pretty good. Match that with an updated version, fun cast (love R. Bilson, too) and a good soundtrack ... and I bet it won't suck.
I doubt it will be an AWESOME movie, but it'll be entertaining. In the movie Garden State, ZB was not torn between two girls, so I don't think it is similar in that regard. However, you will find similarities in that both flicks are about growing up, being an adult -- and all that comes with that.
I didn't mean that ZB was torn between two girls in Garden State, but I agree that it seems to be about the same issues of growing up and what comes with it. I guess I'm tired of all the movies about guys who are reluctant to grow up while their girlfriends are the ones wanting things to change.
I can't wait to see this movie! It looks good and the cast is great, so I'm excited. I don't really think it seems too similar to Garden State. I for one didn't like that movie at all, but I'm really hyped to see this.

I am with you on this, but I still cannot wait for this movie. I have a monster crush on Braff and, if possible, an even bigger crush on Rachel Bilson. If somebody filmed them reading take-out menus I would probably still go see it.
Well, I could be completely wrong -- sometimes I end up totally loving things I expect to hate, so who knows? That's what happened for me with Harry Potter. I do love Rachel Bilson and smart, cute, funny guys like ZB.
