My hair is completely volume-less. Does anyone have any recs for a volumizing mousse/styling product? I'm unimpressed with what I've been picking up lately. Right now I use a mousse and then hairspray, but I really hope to get a styling product that's so great I don't need the hairspray. I don't like the stiff feeling I have every day.

Amplify by Matrix...it's almost weightless, so its great for fine or thin hair. It gives you so much volume (I'm from a small southern town where big hair is a must)! And it wears well even in humidity...
They also make a product called Root Boost...It's also very light weight...I recommend using them both together.

thanks for the suggestions! I'm going out in a little bit to pick something up, to get me out of the house from what is supposed to be a day full of reading and studying and writing papers. Of course, I'm fooling around on ST instead, but still

I was actually having the same problem, and I switched shampoos. It made all the difference in the world! I used to use Biolage, but now I use the yellow sunsilk - anti-flat. It works like a charm. And, the price is right! Plus, I dig their tag line - A Little Hairapy - seriously it kills me.... :)
I actually have very thick hair but because I'm Southern, I'm all about big hair. My favorite product line is Big Sexy Hair by Sexy Hair Concepts. I love the shampoo, conditioner, mousse, shine spray, hairspray and detangler.

Ooo, is it really good? I've been wondering if it did. Right now I use briliant brunette (but there's not volumizing conditioner, sadly), and I'm happy with it, but because of sunsilk's aggresive advertisin campaign I've been thinking about it for a while...
