So if anyone has clicked on the plastic surgery thread, you know I had rhinoplasty a week ago. My bruising is a lot worse than I expected and when I bruise, it usually takes awhile to go away. So my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer is not going to cut it in terms of covering those up!
I want to order some Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation online but am unsure about color selection. I use "Tan" in the tinted moisturizer so I'm guessing I would be "Cashew Beige" for the silk creme foundation, but I'm unsure.
If anyone is going to a department store either today or tomorrow, would someone be willing to check this for me at the Laura Mercier counter? I just want to know how close "Tan" and "Cashew Beige" are before I order it. I would go to the store myself except that I still look really scary. If anyone could help me out this, I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks :)

Ok, so I stopped by the counter and the girl showed me the tan tinted moisturizer compared to the cashew beige. The cashew beige is sooooo much lighter than the tan that we both thought if you used th cashew beige it would look too ashy. She said that was the darkest shade they carried in the silk creme, but upon looking at their site, there is one more darker shade. I can see tomorrow if you like what that shade looks like. We looked at other foundations and the closest match to the tan was in the oil free liquid, shade toffee bronze. She also suggested that you could always just get the cashew beige and mix in some of your tan tinted moisturizer to darken it. If you'd like me to see what this darker color looks like compared to the tan, I'm more than happy to check again! Let me know and I hope this helps!

You are so sweet!!!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate you checking for me. Thank goodness I didn't order the Cashew Beige. Don't worry about checking on the darker shade unless you find yourself in the dept store again and it's convenient. Otherwise, I'll just call Laura Mercier customer service and see what they say. But thank you so much for checking me-- you saved me from a return!!!

I stopped by the counter and they didn't have a tester of the hazelnut beige, which I assume is why the girl thought cashew beige was the darkest shade. And since they can't use their stock as testers I was unable to compare the hazelnut to the tan, but I asked another girl that's worked on the line for about a year if she thought it would look alright and she said it would. I'm sorry I couldn't see first hand about the color but I think she knows the product pretty well and would have told me if she didn't think it was comparable. HTH!
