I thought it would have been by a a crocodile, but it was from a stingray while diving.

I feel kind of irrationally sad by this.  I have no idea why--I don't have any particular attachment to him.  He left behind two really little kids and a wife and not to mention that the way he died seems really gruesome.  At least he died doing what he loved.

exactly how I feel. I mean, they guy was a freak and was kind of asking for it...yet it sucks so much. I kind of wish he had been hit by a bus or something instead of died doing his thing.

Oh this makes me so sad. I used to love to watch his show when I was younger. He was so passoinate about educating people about wildlife. And his poor kids and wife.

This makes me sad too. As soon as I saw the topic, I thought "oh no, not by a crocodile." I feel so sorry for his wife and kids.

me too. He kind of actually annoyed me, and I didn't care to watch him. But I was glad that there was someone like him out there in the world.

I agree...he was pretty crazy but it's still sad. He seemed to have a lot of knowledge. At least he died doing what he loved and it didn't sound like he suffered much. So sad

I think he did a lot to get kids interested in animals.  It's sad that he had to die so young.
