Over the past year, I started to develop corns on two of my toes. They weren't too bad and didn't really hurt but they looked kind of gross. So, I purchased the Dr. Scholls corn remover pads and used them two days as instructed. I took them off this morning and I guess I really didn't know what to expect but they turned white. Is this what is supposed to happen? The directions say to use every 48 hours until they are removed but I'm kind of clueless here...how exactly are they removed? Do they just disolve under the pad? I just want to make sure I'm headed in the right direction with these...
the exact same thing happened to me. i remember when it happened, i ran to my best friend/roommate's room for advice and she was like what in god's name did you do to yourself?! so anyway, we took her cuticle cutters and just cut off the dead skin and the skin underneath was pink (my other friend described it as "raw" skin, gross i know, sorry!) but then after a few days my feet looked normal again. i just looked at my toes right now to see if i still have corns and yup, they're there, barely noticeable, but still there. so anyway, i hope my story helped in some way and if anyone has any idea how to definitively remove corns w/o literally cutting them off after they turn white from the remover pads, please share!
I had a feeling the corns wouldn't magically disappear. I don't know if I'll be able to cut off the dead skin though...I hate doing stuff like that. I definitely need to do something if I plan to wear sandals anytime soon.
i used these pads and the same thing happened. i think it's the salycic (sic?) acid. anyhow my corns keep coming back and i've basically given up and thwarted my ugly feet on the general public no matter!
