so I'm flying to Chicago this weekend and really dont want to check my bags (I'm meetign people there and will already be really late- plus I don't want to have to wait on line to check it). I already swapped my lipgloss for a decent glossy stick but it figures this would be the one time in the last year that I'm breaking out really badly. I have powder that I can bring, but they won't allow liquid foundation. Can anyone recommend a decent solid concealer (they make ones that come in a lipstick tube thingy, right? I feel like my Mom used to have one like that) or pan-stick type thing that's available at a drugstore?
well, the maybeline stick works all right. but lately i have been using revlon. if it can be solid in a pot, the revlon age defying concealer. i wouldn't recomend the covergirl concealer stick. i really hated it.
oh, if you need a foundation too, the covergirl true match whipped foundation that comes in a jar, that is probably a no no, but i tried this over the weekend and really loved it. i will start keeping it as a back up to my BE. also the revlon age defying cream to powder compact makeup is not too bad either.

yeah, cremes won't work. I can probably get by with just my powder if I have a decent concealer. This is so rediculous. I can't belive they'll let me take 4oz of "personal lubricant" but not foundation or toothpaste. Oy.

I love this stuff, I use it every single day. I basically use it as a concealor. It's not really liquid, it's something in the middle of liquid and solid. It kind of resembles the consistency of whipped cream or something

thanks guyes, they did't have the mineral stiff so I got a loreal stcik thing. Looks kind of liek a fat tube of flesh colored lipstick. It's OK...a little greasy but better than going without or checking my bag. Plus it has SPF so that's cool.
All I can say is good luck. They took my concealer at the airport Monday. Boo! It wasn't a liquid either - more like a soft solid. I was very unhappy about it too because it's just perfect and it's some brand I can't get in stores (one of those home makeup things my mom buys for me). I had some serious lipgloss I forgot to take out of my bag but I had it in a different little bag than my regular makeup - like a little coin purse - and it got through because they didn't find it. I'd suggest taking the concealer in a different area of your bag than your normal makeup, just in case.

thanks for the heads up. I'll stick it in my purse and hope it gets past. I'm flying out of a tiny airport, so hopign they'll be a little nicer. I'll check my bags on the way back. This is really pissing me off. I should just empty my foundation into a vasoline bottle or something since personal lubricant is allowed.
just wanting to be obnoxious and ask stupid questions but why are they not allowing makeup on the planes. i don't get that at all, but i could be just very dense.
hmmm...you know, i wonder if you had just a little tube of foundation and you put it in your pocket...
i mean, they're not patting people down are they? (they weren't doing this when i flew last week, but you never know what they'll introduce at anytime)
and Tashina...they're not allowing certain makeup because the TSA people just can't figure out what viscosity determines a "liquid"...so no creams, lotions, gels, etc. nothing than can be "poured or squeezed" or some such vague nonsense.

lmao! I actually considered that, but thought if they did find it I would be in HUGE trouble. If it's in my makeup bag and they say something, I can just say I forgot or didn't realize... a little less suspicious and not so....smuggling....
