I just received my annual review last week and it was all good - really good strong points on my soft skills which is a really hard thing for people to learn/acquire and a few development points on harder skills such as how to use guidance on applying accounting rules which I don't really need to know until a few years from now but those are normal points and good things to figure out now rather than later so they are going onto my development plan for next year.


Anyways.... our "relationship" partner is suppose to call us this week about our bonus and raise and mine hasn't called me yet!!  The system the partners look at has been down most of the week and they finally started getting on it yesterday afternoon.  I want to know what I'm getting!!!  The suspense is killing me.  My bf found out this morning and told me and it seems to be a great raise and bonus (13% and 11%).  I figure I'm on par with him since we are the same level and did pretty much the same extracirculars with me having a tad more of a leadership role but I don't think its worth much more than what he did. 


So I pretty much can bank on his information being the same as what I will hear but I want to hear it myself you know?!?! Seems so unfair. Plus I want to know how much I can put down on my new car in a few weeks!!!  Help me make it through the weekend.  I figure I'll find out on Monday.

I'm in a similar situation - had my review last week (kicked ass!),  but I don't find out my raise until mid-September.


Either way, congratulations!  You've worked so hard this year, and you totally deserve a good raise and bonus.

I met with my partner this morning after sending her a friendly email and reaching out to her (for some reason I got the feeling she was waiting on me to do this - I didn't know) and I did better than I expected.  Yippee!! 13% on both sides. So now I can get my new car and maybe a new handbag.

Well if the dealership back home doesn't sell it by Labor Day weekend when I can make it back I'm getting a 2006 Honda CR-V EX (moon roof ) in Silver Moss.


As far as the bag goes I am unsure.  Its dependent on what I find at Disney when I go on vacation in 19 days
