I searched some old posts and it seems there is mixed reactions to this bc. Has anyone found it to work w/skin issues? I was on Ortho tri cyclen for a while, and it helped okay, but not great, and i think it caused some other problems.
I am on Yasmin and it hasn't cleared up my skin, but I still really like it because I don't have mood swings and my period is so light and doesn't last for very long.

I was on yasmin until recently and it did not clear up my skin even though my doctor told me it should. Everyone's different though so it's hard to predict. I recently went back to alesse which was the very first pill that I went on. The first time around it really helped my skin, but I've only been on it 2 months so it's hard to know now if it will do that this time.

Yasmin has been really good for me, I haven't been psychotic at all, Ortho Tri Cyclen on the other hand....watch out because that stuff messed me up! I haven't noticed a difference in my skin since I've been using it, pretty much the same as before I started using it.
I've been the same exact way. Ortho Tri-Cyclen turned me into a psycho-bitch (and I was on it when I first started dating my now husband...I guess it was meant to be!). I have not had any problems with mood swings with Yasmin. I do notice some improvement in my skin, but I wouldn't say it's the miracle birth control pill for acne that they claim it is.
You should check out acne.org. I've been on the regimen since april. I hope I'm not jinxing myself, but I've been acne free since. I used to be on Alesse, but I got off because I was getting really moody. If you have any questions just pm me. I was apphrehensive at first, but thought what the heck, just it a try.

I second this, though I've been on the regimen only since late May and have had acne for half my life, so I'm expecting it to take a few more months before I'm totally ance free.
