My boyfiend and I hosted a little dinner party last night, and we tried out a marinade that Giada De Laurentis used on Everyday Italian (Food Network). We used it for chicken, but on the show she used chicken and shrimp. Here it is:
5 cloves garlic, minced 1 cup fresh lemon juice, from about 5 lemons 2 cups extra-virgin olive oil 2 teaspoon smoked salt, or kosher salt 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (we did some without, and personally, I thought it was better without) 1/2 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
We let the chicken marinate for about an hour then we grilled it. It was wonderful, but I'll bet it would have been even better if we let them marinate for longer.
