So, I just started watching the FX channel show, and I am totally hooked. I've seen 3 episodes and am confused about a few things. I did a search of this site, and it made it seem like the show was on last season too. Was it?


If any one can catch me up to speed I'd be thrilled, but mostly, I need to know the relationship of the woman who lives with Tommy. Damiens mom. Is that a sister in law to Tommy? Is the brother alive or dead. I was thinking it was a sister until the last episode.

Seriously one of my favorite shows. This is season 3. It is SOOO good - if you can find it on DVD it is worth renting & checking out - it's changed so much but still a good watch.

Shelia (damien's mom) is not a sister in law - she is Tommy's cousin's wife - the cousin died Sept 11th. Tommy ended up having an affair / relationship with her after the cousin died - Tommy will still see the hubby though - he indeed sees dead people, though not as much anymore. He knocked her up at some point but she miscarried the baby - blah blah blah - it was all very risque since he was still married when it started but more because you just don't do that - that kinda thing! I seriously hope she goes away soon because I'm so done with her character.....

Interesting tid bit - Dennis Leary writes/ produces the show & the Tommy character is based on a mix of two NYC fire fighters that are friends of his - one of which died Sept 11th & the other still living. I just find that interesting so I thought I'd share.

Does that clear it up? If you have other questions please ask - i love talking about this show. I may have to dig through my head for answers though!

I love Rescue Me!! Dennis leary does such a great character in Tommy Gavin!!!
