We are still planning our vacation and I would love to hear some of your recommendations. The first time my parents went they stayed at Treasure Island. Last time we went we stayed at Ceasars Palace, I liked it a lot especially since they had the best shopping stores there.
So which hotels have you stayed at? Did you like them? Which one was your favorite?
I've stayed at Luxor and Paris. Luxor was sort of "eh" and too far away, but my husband and I both really liked Paris a lot. The rooms were nice, the people were nice, and the location was perfect for where we spent our time. I'd like to stay at the Venetian or Bellagio eventually too, but we've always gone on weekends when their prices are way too high.

We have stayed at MGM and I liked it there. The only bad thing is that they have the longest halls I have ever seen. If your room is on the far end of the hallway you feel like you have walked a marathon just to get to the elevator. I would stay there again though. It is one of my favorites to gamble at.
We also stayed at New York New York. It was ok. The people that work there are really nice though. There was just an issue when we were there in November last year that a guy fell off the roof somehow, never really got the full story. Anyway, when I woke up to look at the strip instead I got a real CSI outside the window. Needless to say didn't really leave the best impression so no New York New York next time. The rooms were not that great either, but I do like the design of the casino and food court areas.
I agree with Halleybird, if price was not an option the Bellagio and the Venetian. The new Wynn casino is also really beautiful. I think the rooms there compare to the rates at Bellagio, but I was really impressed with the Wynn when we saw it.

HA! ITA joy! I do really like MGM - we stayed there when we got married so I may be biased. Last time I went I stayed at NYNY & I liked it as well. Although we were in the very last room in a hall so I had the same issues with MGM -- I lost several pounds while there despite the buffets & alcohol & I blame that solely on the hallway at the hotel. I liked NYNY - I guess to me the room is more function than anything because I'm on in there to get dressed & sleep. I still feel like staying on that end of the strip has limited my full Vegas experience though because I don't have the energy to go past Paris/ Caesars.
