So, what are your thoughts???Did anyone watch it? I'm actually in the process of "watching" it now. So far I think that she looks like total trash. Poor thing. So misguided I think. Was it just me or did she have a huge clump of mascara (or something) on one eyelid? Did she brush her hair? Her pink bra...uggggh!!! Ok, ok I'll stop. I being really mean.
Don't stop! You're right! I'm convinced she's a dolt and she just doesn't know any better.
Who the f**k wears a hoochie store top and short shorts to an interview with anyone? And with Matt Lauer no less? She's also not as small as she used to be and while I'm not trying to call her fat or anything (I'm probably the same size she is), I think there are far more flattering things for her to wear. I also thought her makeup was horrible...it was like clown paint.
The content of the interviews was also decidedly unimpressive, especially Brit's answers. I swear she must be 10 inside or something? Or are there people who would really believe that?
I realize it's hard to be a first-time mom and all, but she's supposed to have a support system helping her try to figure the whole thing out. It's not like she can't afford on. Besides, some of the stupid s**t she does goes against common sense!
I know what you mean, she was a train wreck...I think even Matt Lauer seemed to feel sorry for her, he did ask some really direct questions without offending her, and for that I give him props
that glob of black eyeline/mascara/whatever was irritating me the whole interview. also, it was sad with all the clips of brit when she was younger and so cute. sad. sad. sad.
my fav lines: "i'm from the country" "he's so simple, he's like...a boy"
Gosh, I really want to like her but I can't help but feel bad for her.
Her makeup was really bad. I think she did it herself. I too noticed the mascara glob. I kept staring at that and her milk jugs. Why couldn't she cover up just a little? She looked naked, especially when she was hunched over. I'm sure she dressed like that and didn't get all dolled up on purpose to make her point.
Chewing gum during an interview- innapropriate.
Her hair looked a mess. She should have used her rollers!
It was weird when they showed the clip of her at Rockefeller center. To me it seems like she wasmore composed and well spoken back then, than she is now. And the see through-ish shirt?
She didn't seem too sure of herself or confident in anything she said except "I like money," I thought that was kind of cute. And when she said her maid slacks off, good one.
The thing that bugged me about her Matt Lauer interview - many of the things even we 'youngins' did as babies/children are no longer considered safe. Y'know, like riding in cars without safety restraints, among other things. It wasn't safe then, and it isn't any safer now. Just because you did it and lived through it doesn't mean jack shit other than proving how unenlightened we were back in the day. I can't even believe she's comparing Louisiana to freakin' LA!
By a freaking book or two, Brit-Brit!

yeah - loved the explanation for the baby on her lap while driving "we're from the country and that's what we do" ok... so that makes it ok, then?
oh and the lying! I don't know if you guys caught this, but when she was talking about Kevin she couldn't maintain eye contact and kept looking to the floor on her right. When Kevin was talking about Britney being there for him during recording he was doing the same thing only looking to his left. so who's right handed or left handed? that would confirm it...
here's a thing on detecting lying and they were falling into the "ai" category
Down and To the Right Indicates: Internal Dialog (Ai) This is the direction of someone eyes as they "talk to themselves".
The Gist of it...
How this information is used to detect lies:
Example: Let's say your child ask's you for a cookie, and you ask them "well, what did your mother say?" As they reply "Mom said... yes." they look to the left. This would indicate a made up answer as their eyes are showing a "constructed image or sound. Looking to the right would indicated a "remembered" voice or image, and thus would be telling the truth.

I watched like 5 minutes of it on YouTube this morning and it's really like watching a little kid talk. She refuses to take responsibility for any of her actions and just plays such the victim in all of this. Yeah, the paparazzi suck and all and I'm sure it's really hard, but for heaven's sake, you just don't drive with your baby on your lap!!! I don't care if it's for 5 minutes or an hour--it's not safe, no matter what. Someone needs to teach her a lesson in personal responsibility and tell her that she's a grown up now. She seems to think that having kids automatically makes you an adult, but it doesn't. And someone needs to tell her how to dress and to stop with the gum. Good grief.
Ok, first, I can't believe she was chewing gum during the interview. That was just gross.
Also, I had so many "I can't believe she just said that" moments during the interview that I lost count. As someone said above, I found it interesting that she doesn't take responsibility for anything she does and that she seems to justify her actions by saying "Well, So and So did it too". Like when she said her Dad used to drive with her on his lap and apparently that made it ok for her to do it. And when she said that Julia Roberts' husband was married when Julia started dating him, like just because Julia did it, it was ok for her too. Talk about a flawed argument! Also, I think Lilykind hit the nail on the head, it's the mentality of a 10-year-old.
My absolute favorite part was when Matt was asking her to explain how she justified starting to see Kevin when Shar was 6 months pregnant and Brittany responded "I didn't know" and was so pleased with her response. If that's true it's almost worse that she married someone who at the time they stated dating had a girlfriend who was 6 months pregnant and he wasn't honest enough to tell her that. Apparently trust in a relationship isn't a big thing for Brit.
Detroit I thought the same thing. The hubby and I were watching and I commented to him how she kept looking down everytime she spoke about Kevin. When she talked about her baby she looked right into the camera because she was telling the truth then.
Killa I do feel sorry for her. I agree with the comments from everyone, but to me she just seems like a person who was always sheltered and just thrown out there to make money for the family. I don't think she had a chance to get a good education and learn alot of the lessons that normal people do. I feel kinda bad for her because I think when you have that much money it would be very hard to find people who actually care about you and not just your money.
The fake eyelash-bad mascara thing was very distracting though. It kinda reminded me of Tammy Faye Baker back in the day!! And about her sitting on the lap of her father as he would drive around-he probably didn't have an airbag in his car at that time, because older cars did not always have them. That would have made it, while still dangerous, a completely different situation than she is in now.
I wouldn't take her comparing her situation with Kevin to other celebrities, like Julia Roberts (which was almost a huge situation by the way, anyone remember her purposefully wearing the "A Very Low Vera" T shirt message directed towards Danny Moder's wife, for the papparrazzi to print?) dating her husband when he was still married, as an excuse. I took it as Britney defending her behavior against such overwhelming publicity, Julia Roberts somehow got away with her immorality and Britney doesn't understand why she can't escape the media scrutiny as well. Of course, she didn't learn from Julia that you have to hide out, build a home in another state and keep a low profile, dress well, behave well in public...like a normal celebrity who wants to fend off the photogs does. Duh.
Still, Britney just never grew up normally. I am not on the Britney hater train, I am nothing like her, but at the same time, I can understand how she feels. She's pretty easy to read, poor girl, just like in the Diane Sawyer interview a few years ago.

Is it just me, or did it seem like she was on something? Or if not, that she's such an emotional wreck that she isn't coherent at all? She just seemed like such a mess, especially compared to old interviews.
I agree with pretty much everyone's comments. I do feel sorry for her in a way but man, she was kinda hard to like in the interview. She just kept on saying stupid things over and over!
Also, I've never heard of a pregnant lady that didn't know how far along she way...especially when they're that big. Has no one except Matt Lauer ever asked her that question??? Wierd!

I don't suppose this is true. I bet she wants to keep it secret so the press is not so aware of when the baby will be born.
