Anyone ever done Toastmasters?

I have done Toastmasters (which has chapters across the country that you join to sharpen your public speaking skills) in the past  but it has been several years.  Is anyone currently a member?  Or does anyone have thoughts about it (love it or hate it?)?  I am considering re-joining.

I use to be a member of  Toastmasters and it was kind of "meh" for me.  I enjoyed the public speaking ( but then again I'm a freak like that) and listening to others speaches and giving them feedback.  But I did not like trying to find the time to write the speaches... practice.. etc.  plus spending my lunch break at Toastmasters was not something I was very fond of.  Just my experience though.

I did it for a while and like getting feedback on my public speaking skills.  I really don't like to speak in front of people, but I think Toastmasters can really help.  For me, it was hard to leave work on time to get to meeting on time.  If you have the time to commit, I think it can't hurt because being able to express yourself well is so important.
