Brad has a wedding band on his finger Actually, that looks like a band on his middle finger, of his right hand. Not the third finger of his left hand... Which might or might not mean anything. :)
atlgirl - I saw that too and it made me think they are already hitched.
Well, he finally got what selfish Jen wouldn't give him.
Jen made a decision about herself and her body. It's still her decision to make... if her husband doesn't like it, he can leave (and did).
Having a child that the mother might not want to "save" a marriage is completely unfair to everyone in the marriage, esp. the child -- THAT would be selfish.

I completely agree with Starstuff. The selfish thing would be to have a baby only to keep the husband, not out of sincere desire to be a mother.

Seriously, stop ganging up on Courtney, everyone [who does]!
We are gossiping about celebrities for heaven's sake! And personally I do appreciate her colorful comments. She always gets a reaction out of people and I find it kind of funny. But if you don't appreciate her comments you can and should say nothing. I have never heard Courtney make a nasty comment to one of you ladies, but plenty of you have done it to her.

agree.
Anyway...
Brad really wanted a baby and I am happy for them both. But I have a feeling he always wanted one and Jen probably led him on saying yeah we will have one one day. She still says she wants kids. But I think her career is too important to her. I mean, the man is over 40 years old. How long can a person wait. But I think if she wasn't ready, then it was good that she didn't have one to keep her husband. But I do think she led him on.

i wasn't trying to gang up on her. her comment, "colorful" or not, is the kind of backwards thinking along the lines of "women shouldn't work." i can almost hear tammy wynette crooning "stand by your man" in the background.

Ok, I totally disagree that her thinking is "backwards along the lines of women shouldn't work," but whatever, let's just agree to disagree.

i'll respectively agree to disagree, but i guess what i am trying to say is i don't think a woman should be considered selfish for her choice not to have children. (or to have them after establishing her career) maybe that wasn't what cortney was saying, but it is how i interpreted it.
