Thanks to everyone who helped me with my intern stuff earlier this year. Those guys don't what they're missing out on and didn't hire me, but I just got this internship at Oxford University this summer. I'm working with some group that researches the connection between the media and politics and development so it should be pretty sweet. Anyway, I'm really excited! Anyone have any tips on Oxford? How far is it from London?
One of my co-workers got his PhD from Oxford. He LOVED it. He is really into art and culture and found Oxford to be a great place. I'll ask him about some insider tips and post them after the holiday weekend.
oh my gosh and golly! what a cool oppurtunity for you! not only will it be awesome to spend the summer in oxford but how impressive that you can put oxford on your resume!

Congratulations! I'm so excited for you! I've never been to Oxford but I'm sure you'll have a great time. My bf got his PhD there so let me know if you want any vegetarian restaurant recommendations.
cc - What a smarty! I'd love restaurant recommendations.
jen - I think I'm leaving July 21 so we'd have a little overlap if you made it out my way...
sephorablue - I'm so glad to hear you loved it! I'm interning at the Programme for Comparative Media Law and Policy which I think is at the Centere for Socio-Legal Studies. The law college? I don't know. Anyway, any suggestions would be great.
Also, I'm not going to have any friends so things I can do alone are awesome.
