So our response cards are flooding in (yea!).  However it appears that we should have included instructions for filling them out, maybe even an illustrated one!  We've had to call almost 1/3 of the respondents to ask who wants which meal, and we've even received back the fabled 'no-name' response where the guests did not write their names but instead just '2'.  And then, one of my tragically trashy cousins (who goes through men like toilet paper) had the balls to write in her new boyfriend's name on the response.  And order her children adult meals.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It all turns out okay in the end, right?  Right?!

Yes it does, I can't believe that I have already forgotten about these type of things and I have only been married for 2 1/2 weeks! Don't fret, I was told not to worry about too many people coming that people drop out at the end. We had 5 people that didn't show, out of 78 it was fine. But they also had reservations at the nearby hotel? But it was all fine!

i don't really have any good response other than to ditto what chic say...don't worry about it too much, the guests will straighten out themselves in the end. you might have ten wierd rsvp's come back but then maybe ten no-shows so its all balanced, right?

i really just wanted to wish you a happy two month pre-aniversary.  i see it's two months exactly today...

peopel seriously have no tact sometimes, and wedding rsvps def. bring it out.
I didn't put up with that children's meal crap though. For me it was a huge price difference per plate! I would either cal the person up and ask if they didn't realize that was an option (hint hint) or just change it and let them deal with it when the time comes. Honestly, they probably won't even remember what they ordered in 2 months anyway. i know my guests didn't and half of them lost their crab cake becasue the stupid staff was like "did you want soup or salad" and they didn't remember that they originally had ordered crab until they saw other peopel eating it. (the staff also completely disregarded the list i gae them of what meal went to what seat)

I agree... I would just change them to children's plates. They probably won't even remember when the time comes anyway. It's not like they are the ones paying for it and half their plate will probably just end up getting thrown out anyway.
