DGS Advertising Manager/MM3   

Salary           $125,000-160,000 plus15% bonus
 
Location         San Francisco, CA

Job  Description    Plans, directs and controls the activities of the
advertising
staff.  Plans the development of overall Diverse Growth Segments (DGS)
advertising strategy, including the African-American, Latino, Asian and
Gay/Lesbian markets. Provides leadership for sales and business
development.
Develops methods to track effectiveness of implemented programs.
Recommends
DGS group's position on company-wide advertising, product, or marketing
related issues.  Exercises the usual authority of a manager in recruiting
and developing team members and managing budgets.

Position Responsibilities:
1) Ability to successfully interact with product and region partners to
ensure flawless execution of DGS advertising campaigns.  Possess a
demonstrated knowledge and expertise relative to DGS regional marketing
conditions. 

2) Demonstrated expertise and knowledge of sales cycles of product groups
and proactively prepare DGS advertising materials including creative
briefs,
concepts, copy, and media plans. 

3) Develop and sell effective DGS marketing plans and recommendations to
senior staff. 

4) Effectively manage relationship with agencies, junior advertising staff
and other direct reports in meeting deadlines.        
Minimum
Qualifications
1) Demonstrated effective management skills
2) Proven expertise in DGS related business groups and marketing campaigns
with agency and community contacts.
3) Ability to effectively partner with general market advertising to ensure
integrated plans.
4) Highly detail oriented; ability to prioritize
5) Computer skills
6) Ad Agency experience preferred
