a year and a half. that was my previous job/first "real job." i've now been at my current company for 5 months... trying to make it to a year, but who knows...
The office I work at now, I've been at for five and a half years, but only part-time. (The most I ever worked was 20 hours a week one summer.) But I've had several different positions during the time I've worked there, in several different departments.
Me, too, 5 years...first "real" job though I call it suffering now b/c I hate it with a passion. I am almost finished with a B.B.A. minoring in Accounting. You know what I really want, not to work in a big company. The problem is I live in this small town that serioulsy has nothing! So, I could drive 45 minutes, but in the winter in MN that's something me--afraid of the snowstorms--couldn't do. What about a home based job?
Dailycandy.com -they are looking to hire sales associates for some of their regions. It's home based. I really wonder what it entails. I read the job description, but you never know. I would love it! I should try..even if I get turned down..at least I tried, right! Maybe that would give me the boost to try again...and again...and again..until I find something that I will like (and not hate).
It seems like US companies have mega-issues with keeping employees happy? On average, just from this poll, it feels like no one stays but a few years.
