I am going to start this tomorrow. Is anyone on it/done it? I love cereal and could eat it for every meal, which is why I think this plan is perfect for me. You eat any kind of Special K cereal with fat free milk for 2 meals a day (mine will be breakfast and lunch) and eat thier snacks along with friuit and veggies for snacks, then eat a regular dinner. I mean, it's not a HUGE wieght loss plan, but I only want to lose a couple pounds, so I am going to try. Thoughts??
personally, i'm not a huge fan of cereal diets. first there's the repetition. i'm sorry, i love certain foods but for too many days in a row, not so much. second, the portion size. one cup is probably not what you think it is.....it's much smaller. then there's the lack of fiber. one serving of special k is 0.5 g of fiber. that's it. you would get more with a slim fast shake (and the same amount of calories if you used skim milk in your cereal). plus, with 1 cup special k, and one cup skim milk, you would get 67% of your calories from carbs and only 30% from protein, so you would have to have a very high protein dinner to balance that out.
i just think there's so many more doable diet plans out there that restricting yourself as much as you have to with this diet will only lead to a binge (and possibly extra lbs.) after the diet is over.

I totally agree with shopgirl82. I just think that it's not the most sensible way to lose weight. Once you start eating normally again, won't you just put the weight back on? I mean there's no way that you're going to live the rest of your life eating cereal twice a day, so I think while it's probably fine for a quick fix, do realize that you're going to have to eat well and excercise once you get off the diet in order to maintain the weight.
Sorry to be Debbie Downer, but I just don't think cereal diets are very realistic and I'd hate to see you get let down.
Well to get your needed fiber, you could always add some Fiber One cereal to the Special K. I do this everyday for breakfast, and it adds fiber without adding a bunch of calories.
