Ok, I'm digging for the fruit pizza one, but I thought of something else. So good & SO easy. It's called "dump cake" but don't let that put you off - it's only because you just dump the ingredients.. HA 1 can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup 1 can cherry pie filling 1 box yellow cake mix stick of butter
Dump all ingredients in a baking dish in above order. You can put pats of butter or melt & be sure to spread evenly. Bake @ 350 for 50 minutes to 1 hour.
That's it - so so good.
Also, not very very fruity, but my mom makes the best banana pudding ever. It's the one thing if I make it people ask for the recipe. It really is so good - it's got condensed milk in it, come on!
Banana Pudding vanilla wafers 2 small instant vanilla pudding 3 cups milk 1 can condensed milk 3 bananas 1 tbsp vanilla 1 large cool whip Mix pudding with milk & beat until smooth. Add condensed milk & vanilla. Line large mixing bowl w/ vanilla wafers & top with bananas. Stir cool whip into pudding. Pour 1/2 of mixture over wafers & banana. Put another layer of cookies & bananas. Top with rest of pudding mixture. Chill overnight (or at least a few hours if possible)
Found a few more: Strawberry Pie - super easy & so good 1 can condensed milk 1/3 cup lemon juice 1 large cool whip 2 cups sliced strawberries ready made pie crust
Mix condensed milk & lemon juice. Fold in cool whip - then add strawberries. Put in a ready made graham cracker crust. Refrigerate.
Sunshine Cake 1 package yellow or white cake mix 1/2 cup oil 4 eggs 1 can mandarin orange slices Mix all ingredients together (including juice) until smooth. Pour into 2 or 3 greased & floured cake pans. Bake @ 325 until done (package directions of cake 20-30 minutes). Cool in pans
Frosting: 20 oz can crushed pineapple (undrained) large cool whip large vanilla pudding
Mix all ingredients. Frost cake & refrigerate.
Here is a link to a fruit pizza - it's very similar to what I have made in the past & it has a cool picture - which I always love! Fruit Pizza

You really don't even need to follow a recipe for a fruit triffle...I usually just pick up an angel cake at Whole Foods (they also have a TDF chocolate angel cake which is delicious paired w/ raspberries.) break it up and alternate layers w/ your choice of fruit and homemade whipped cream. (I like strawberries or mixed berries...I usually pre-cut and wash berries and let them sit in a bowl w/ a little sugar for a little while to create a little liquid...but you can really do it w/ any fruit)...whipping cream is easy...just beat whipping cream w/ a little sugar and vanilla extract to taste. If you wan to add a little kick you can drizzle a little liqueur on the angel cake as you layer it...depending on what fruit you use Godiva, Chambourg, or Amaretto is delicious...
Here's the fruit trifle recipe. It looks long, but it's easy, and it's fun to put together. I have a 3-quart trifle bowl that I put this in, but it would probably fit into a 2-qt one as well.
Fresh Fruit Trifle
*2 packages (4-serving size each) vanilla pudding and pie filling mix (not instant) *3 cups milk *1 (16 oz) package frozen pound cake, thawed (I used Sara Lee - the family size is 16 oz) *1/2 cup raspberry preserves *1/4 cup amaretto or orange juice *2 1/2 cups fresh raspberries *2 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced *1 cup whipping (heavy) cream *2 tbsp sugar *additional fresh raspberries, if desired
1. Make pudding mix as directed on package, except using 3 cups milk total. Place plastic wrap directly on pudding. Refrigerate at least 3 hours.
2. Cut the pound cake horizontally in half with a large knife. Spread each cake half equally with all of the preserves. Cut both jam-topped cake halves into 1" cubes.
3. Place half of the cake cubes in the bottom of the bowl, jam-side up, arranging them to evenly cover the bottom. (If you get them right to the edge, you'll be able to see all the layers when you're done.) Drizzle with half of the amaretto or orange juice (1/8 cup)
4. Cover cake with half (1 1/4 cups) of the strawberries, half (1 1/4 cups) of the raspberries, and then with half of the pudding.
5. Repear steps 3 and 4 -- covering the pudding with the remaining cake cubes (drizzled with remaining amaretto or OJ), the remaining berries, and the remaining pudding.
6. Beat whipping cream and 2 tbsp sugar in chilled small bowl (not a plastic bowl) with electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Spread over top of trifle, garnish with additional fruit. Cover and refrigerate until serving time.
Our favorite trifle is much like Christine's, only I use the mixed berries from Costco (sweetened a bit & allowed to cool). We've also made it with brownies instead of the angel food & used raspberries! I agree... a trifle is so pretty and looks so elegant but is SO easy! Good luck.
