ok i know this might be completely stupid to ask but do you mean yogurt like what tcby serves?

I have an ice cream maker from williams sonoma -> cuisine art I think- and it is suppose to make all that stuff - ice cream, yogurt, and gelato but I haven't used it yet.  I need to clean my freezer out.  Its a nice size so it doesn't take up too much room.

i have this one from williams-sonoma:

i got it for my birthday last year, so i've had it for about 6 months. i've used it several times. it's very easy to use, although just a bit time consuming. i feel it's worth it though for homemade, fresh yogurt though.

i used fat free plain yogurt (as the starter) and skim milk and after it's done i add a tiny bit of date sugar to sweeten it a bit. i want to experiment with adding fresh fruit, but i haven't yet.

aurora i think you have a frozen yogurt/ice cream maker... which is quite different. i think.

thanks for the explanation.  I didn't know this existed but since I'm hooked on yogurt I may need to get one.

When I was very small, my mother used to make yogurt in a machine like that - it was called the yogomatic :)  Funny how the 70's come back :)
