Just wondering what yall thought of buying the same style of something in multiple colors... I run into this dilemma all the time where I love everything about a particular top so I want it in every color it comes in, but I don't want a ticket from the fashion police. So, is it okay to have the same top or bottom in different colors?

I buy multiples of basics and/or hard-to-fit items. Tee shirts, tanks/camis, jeans and pants, skirts, even bathing suits. Those things tend to be wardrobe-extenders, so multiples make sense. I keep a pretty strict no multiples rule for everything else where fit is not so much of an issue, and pick things up on a piece by piece basis.

I'm with Elle. I especially do this on camis. I have six of the same basic cami because it works so well under many things. I also have four of two other types of camis. I do this with tees also.
Otherwise I don't really duplicate. If I find jeans I love, I might consider the same jean in two different washes, but that's about it.

basics for me are tees, tanks, sweatpants, and hoodies. I try to buy multiples because it's hard to find ones that fit really nicely and are well made.
I'm guilty of this. I was always taught, if you love something, buy it in every color. I do it mostly w/basics, ie a good James Perse shirt I will buy in 5 colors.
I also do this w/shoes alot bc I have a hard time finding shoes I like that are also comfortable. For instance, recently I bought the Guess Raises in black and light brown. And would buy them in more colors in a second if they made more colors.
I buy multiples of things in many colors...dress pants, when I find a fit and style that I like I buy them in 3 or 4 colors...i buy good fitting t-shirts and tanks in multiple colors..
