I'm sitting in front of the tv watching major league baseball and one of the pitchers for the St. Louis Cardinals used to live with my parents a few years ago. His name is Mark Mulder. Most of the "famous" people I know are baseball players only because my dad coaches elite amateur baseball (18 year-olds). The other major leaguers that played for my dad (that I remember off the top of my head) are: Ken Griffey, Jr, Jay Payton, David Bell, Adam Hyzdu, Corey Patterson. I also can add Lebron James to my list of non-baseball players that I know because he lives in the same neighborhood as my DH"s aunt, and Jerry Springer because he used to live down the street from me.
Hey lebron james lives in the same neighborhood as my aunt too! Well at least his one house in akron, that he has decided to put millions of dollars in renovations then tear it down, so its currently back under construction.

a couple of guys from my high school play baseball, but none are especially famous. I think all but one of them are in the minors. The guy who's in the majors doesn't play much.
This probably doesn't count, but one of my friends is good friends with Susan from the Bachelor!

I used to be friends with & lay out every weekend with a girl that ended up in the Venus swimwear catalog. We dated friends & after I broke up with him we lost touch. She was also so sweet that you wanted to not like her because she was so gorgeous but you couldn't NOT like her.
Not very famous, huh?

I know Paxton Whitehead, he's my mom's best friend's husband. He's tv, film, and broadway actor. He's been in tons of stuff. He was Rachel's boss on Friends when she worked at the department store. He was the older balding gentleman with the British accent. Sooo funny! A very kind man.
I am first cousins with Mike Piazza. Rookie of the Year in 1993. Played for the Dodgers, Mets and now the Padres.
I know some other Baseball players through him as well.
Also, a good friend on mine from high school is a budding actress in Hollywood. She has had big roles on ER and Ghost Whisperer most recently. Her name is Saige Thompson.
In Vegas, I hung out with the rapper, Lil Jon for several hours at Studio 54 one night.
And lastly, thanks to DH's music career.. I have hung out backstage with Graham Colton, Maroon 5, and most recently Tim Reynolds.
Well, he's not "famous" famous, but it's the closest I've got... RI Senator Lincoln Chaffee is a friend of my father but closer friend to my uncle. Jealous?
I've never met him, but James Woods grew up in my neighborhood.
Uh, yeah. I know no one. I have high hopes for a few current musicians though. And maybe a director/screenwriter or two. Oh and one of my BFFs was in a horror film set to come out around Halloween. We'll see if that makes her famous or not.
I know several politicians from when I was working in NY- was on a first name basis with quite a few of the big shots (sen. schumer, sen, clinton, spitzer, howard dean. what- me drop names? )
I've danced with the Chieftans (old Irish music group) and Eileen Eivers and I've met pretty much all of the famous people from Riverdance (Michael Flatley, Colin Dunn). I was really good friends with one of the drummers for a while, but we haven't taked in a few years now. I knew several of them before the whole R-dance craze becasue we were at the same competitions.
i am friends with the band Alien Ant Farm. we met when another friends band used to play at a local small venue and i was dating the lead singer of his band so i would go back stage with them all the time and a couple of times, before they were big, AAF were playing with them, so we all eventually ended up hanging out and i still keep in touch with the guys. they re-made one of Michael Jackson's songs, just in case you didn't know who they were.
my brothers gf is good friends with the niece of jacob the jeweler, im hoping to meet her one day...and then hopefully meet jacob and his famous friends....

I love when a new bank opens or something and they advertise that she is going to be there. I know Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey and former Michigan football players that now play in the pros.-- Edited by RyanJ at 11:33, 2006-04-17
