Meal planning?
Permalink Closed

I am not that great of a cook, but I have gotten a lot better. I live close to a grocery store and basically I figure out what we will have for dinner (which is a whole other issue) and on the way home from work stop and pick up the stuff to make it. By the time I do all that and then cook dinner, sometimes it ends up taking forever. Anyone have suggestions on good meal planning? TIA

I try to make a list on like Sat. or Sun of foods for the week. I normally always leave a day out because I know most likely we will go out to dinner. Then  I go to the grocey store once a week, i may make little trips but not everyday. It works for me.

This is exactly what I do -well, I try to do anyway. I make a weekly meal plan & make my grocery list based on that meal plan. I work from home too so I also plan a few things for breakfast & lunch. It makes it so much easier & I spend SOOO much less at the grocery this way. Of course the downside to this is that we don't always feel like the things I have the ingredients to make.....
