Currently I am using Oil of Olay moisturizer for my face both day and night. I was researching Philosphy Hope In A Jar, does anybody use this product??? Or are there other friendlier priced products out there?
i'm bad and don't use face cream even though I should. My bf loves this stuff he gets at HEB in a green container (will look up the name and post in the morning). Its girl stuff but he doesn't care because it helps him with his dry skin.
I have a sample of hope in a jar. I used it a few times but not consistently enough to report back. If you are curious about it I'd go to sephora and get a sample or two of it (they should either have a sample for you to try or can make one up for you.)
Neutrogena Visibly Firm Night Cream---i read about it in lucky or shop etc. or something. i like it. moisturizing, not greasy and doesn't smell weird and they sell it at the drugstore

My nighttime stuff is a bit on the $$$ side (Shiseido Pureness Moisturizing Gel-Creme), but my daytime cream is Neutrogena Helathy Defense. This is actually my second time around with HD...I tried it when it first came out and hated it. Now that my skin has calmed down somewhat (I'm still acne-prone but nowehre near as bad as it was in the past), it's a pretty nice mositurizer. I will continue to use Neutrogena mositurizers in the future, especially for daytime since I like their sun protection.
I use Revlon Eterna night cream for my dry skin (super heavy duty, and it serves double duty by removing any traces of makeup I might have missed from washing since it's a bit greasy)
and for day, I have been using Prescriptives moisturizers, but the last time I purchased I ended up spending $160 on just a little pot of Intensive Rebuilding eye treatment and 2 oz of Intensive Rebuilding Moisturizer, so I am currently experimenting.
I recently purchased Korres "Watercress Potent Moisturizer" and it's pretty nice, although it absorbs really quickly, so I have to work fast. It's a good deal (in comparison to Prescriptives) at $27
I also have a sample of hope in a jar that I haven't tried yet - but I've heard good things...

I currently use the Philosophy Hope in a Jar and I really like it. I'm probably going to try something different when it runs out because I got the one without sunscreen. With spring and summer coming up I like to use something with SPF during the day. I'll probably get the one they have with sunscreen for the day and keep using Hope in a Jar at night. I used to have really dry and flaky skin and this has helped it.
I use Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer at night - no sunscreen, smells reeeeaaally good, has a little bit of Salicylic Acid in it, and is very moisturizing but not greasy. I use Neutrogena Healthy Skin SPF 15 during the day.

i've said it a thousand times but i use cetaphil and LOVE it - it's just such a good clean moisture without any oiliness to cause breakouts.
i will say that i do have certain trouble spots from time to time w/ dry skin, though, and haven't found a satisfactory solution for them... (seems like all heavy creams are oily or perfumed!)

Ditto to all of this. I love Cetaphil and my dermatologist ( I have acne prone skin) told me I can only use this or Aveeno to avoid breakouts.
I third Cetaphil.. I have tried all the lux brands and Cetaphil is really my favorite! I also really like Shu Uemura Dep Sea Gel Cream. The texture on this is really great and it sinks into skin and let's it breathe. Cetaphil is slighty more moisturizing and is great because it has SPF.
i used hope in a jar and i just thought it was too heavy, even in chicago cold windy winters. i am almost out of my philosophy the present and i'm either going to get cetaphil or oil of olay. my grandma will be 90 in sept. and you should see what 70 years of using oil of olay products despite working on a farm does to your skin. she has amazing skin!

i use oil of olay total effects anti-blemish anti-aging moisturizer during the day, and oil of olay regenerist night recovery moisturizing treatment. i also use oil of olay total effects eye transforming cream.
I use Hope in a Jar at night and oil of olay with spf 30 during the day. I love hope in a jar. I find that lactic acid products work well for my skin. I switched to an oil of olay night cream for awhile (money reasons) and I did like the oil of olay but I can tell a difference when I'm not using hope in a jar. I find it to be light and it soaks right in, doesn't leave me feeling greasy.
I use Neutrogena HD spf 30 in the mornings (I try not to go anywhere without spf30 on) and I find that if I give it a few minutes after I put it on, it helps make my makeup stay on better. It also gets rid of the dry spots around my nose - no makeup flakes when I use it.
For night I've recently started using cetaphil and it rocks. It's very soft and my skin is not quite as dry since I've started using it. Now I'm shooting for consistency...
Oh and just remember that moisturizers shouldn't really be used on your eyes. I use the HD on my eyes because it's super light and I want the spf protection but I'd never use a moisturizer at night on my eyes. Eye cream only!
I use the traditional oil of olay with sunscreen. I have been using it for years. I find that it works well, it doesn't prevent breakouts but it makes my skin feel and look nice.
