(or maybe Thursday, the interviewer is only in town 2 days and isn't sure which day works better for him) Wish me luck! It is for a sales position within my company. I have met with several people over the phone and now the national director of sales is coming to meet me in person. When I had talked to him on the phone last week, I had asked him if he had any concerns I could address before he recommended me for the next stage, and he said he had none, but he would want to meet me in person if I became a final candidate. So, I guess I'm a final candidate! Woo hoo!

Thanks. Well, I didn't get the job. The manager I was interviewing with called me on the phone and told me today. He said it was close and we were both impressive candidates (so, I guess I was in the final two), but he has worked with this other guy in the past and he has more experience. He said he would keep me in mind for future positions and he is creating a new territory the beginning of next year.


BUT the guy I was supposed to interview with (the manager's manager) today or tomorrow still wants to meet with me tomorrow to discuss future opportunities. I'm not really sure what exactly he wants to talk about. There isn't anything else open right now except for a position in San Francisco and he has already asked me if I'd be interested in interviewing for that and I said no.
