I went into Macys today looking for some black pointy toe heels for work. I was short on time so I wanted to make it quick. I spotted the BCBG shoes I had been eyeing, and asked the SA for my size. While she was getting them I was checking out my other options. I saw some guess ones I liked but in white. I noticed she was really busy, so I limited my request.
When she came out she brought me the ones I asked for, the guess ones and another similar pair. That never happens to me. I was totally impressed that she brought me several styles. I told her she read my mind, and thanked her. Just wanted to share, Macys is usually tough to get 1 pair of shoes to try let alone 3. Yea Macys!!
I generally despise Macy's but I adore their shoe department.
There's usually no one there, the SAs are pretty helpful and willing to do pretty much anything for you, and since the 2 Macys I go to stock designer shoes, I can always find things like Marc Jacobs/Moschino/Cole Haan/Coach/Michael Kors for under $100.
I got amazing service in the Macy's shoe dept. in Cincinnati. I bought a pair of Kenzie wedges the other day. There was teeny scratch (I didn't even notice, and still can't find it ).The SA pointed it out and immediately discounted them.
I think they use the technic most places train their SA's to use in shoe dpts.
It called 4 on the floor, that's when the assoc gathers other shoes (assuming the taste of them based on what you've already asked fo)r. Even if your size is sold out they should NEVER walk out without 4 pairs of shoes for you to see.
