BAKERSFIELD -- A local substitute teacher who was featured in the VH1 reality show The Flavor of Love was let go from the Kern High School District Tuesday.
School district officials said that Brooke Thompson, also known as Pumkin on the show, was a distraction and that students who weren't even in her class would try to catch a glimpse of her whenever they could.
They said letting her go was not a reflection of her abilities, but her presence was simply too distracting for the students.
"When she would come to campus, word would spread and kids would peep their heads in the door," said John Teves from the Kern High School District. "It's disruptive to the learning experience."

She should die her hair brown for a while. Another school can hire her, reality show attention, especially from a cable network, always dies down quickly. Nobody will recognize her from the show in a year. BUT yeah, what was she thinking???

Who would want to take a peek at somebody just because they were on a reality show? She should dye her hair brown, who knows, maybe it's her real hair color?
