Who watched? We even get a new episode next week! Two in a row!!
I liked the ep with the exception of the infertility crap with Sun - they totally misrepresented pretty much everything about her diagnosis/condition/results, and that always ticks me off because it just perpetuates misinformation. The only redeeming factor was that the doc was lying anyhow, but still!
Anyway, the previews for next week looked really good!

Last night was so great! More than anything, I'm totally puzzled by Henry. Part of me thinks that he's not an other, but then he goes and says all that stuff about how if he was an other he'd draw up a map and have his group sabotage the other group. But then on the preview for next week it looks like they found a balloon. So I have no idea.
The show is really intriguing for me from a character development standpoint. It's intersesting how they're all growing apart more and more, instead of growing closer. I kinda miss seeing them as more of an ensemble cast, but the direction the show's going is pretty cool nonetheless.
I wanted more from last night's episode. I was kind of thrown back to reality when it was mentioned that Henry had been held captive for three days when to us viewers it's more like months! I didn't like the whole Jack/Locke trust issues, it seems like actually, wouldn't it take longer than just three days to have the whole group knowing that there is a trust issue at all? I was annoyed at Ana Lucia and Sayid for not informing about the map journey, I was already thinking...well, what if it's a trap??
I think Henry's character is a jerk, regardless if he is an other or not, he's not to be trusted anyway.

He's an other. On the podcast, the producers said something to the effect of "We like to play around with the characters (in ref to Henry). He may not be who he says he is but he could be exactly what you think he is." I just have a hunch. When they were in the clearing I knew that there were others in the bushes. Guess we'll have to wait til next week to find out.
Ok, this is totally neurotic, but did anyone else notice the typos in the subtitles? Baldy was talking to Sun and said something about "You're father". Tsk tsk.

so did anyone else assume that sun was lying when she told jin he was the only man she had ever been with?
who's baby is it? i am confused as to how long they've been on the island-- i was thinking a few months already but then someone on the island had to have impregnated her and not her english teacher... thoughts?
henry gale is TOTALLY creepy- i'm curious to see what happens... the balloon could easily have been something that he found and concocted a story around since we know it exists.
I don't know. I think it is Jin's baby and that the island somehow "healed" him like it did for Locke. I just don't think it would be true to Sun's character to have an affair. She's been incredibly loyal and I think her facial expressions were just nerves. Also, someone on another forum mentioned that the actors don't always know what the future's going to hold so the actress that plays Sun may not necessarily know if her character's baby was Jin's and therefore had to cover the bases and make sort of a confused face. I don't know if that's for sure but it's a thought.

true, but remember at the time of the potential affair, she was about to leave jin. thats not too loyal...

yeah, that's what I kept thinking too. When she hugged Jin the face she made was just weird...almost like she was saying, "It's best that he doesn't know this baby's not his." But I'm confused about how long they've been on the island too. Does anyone know? I thought it was longer than a month.

I totally noticed that too!!! It was terrible!
Anyway, in reference to how long they've been there--it was 40 days when the Tailies met up with them, so I'm assuming now it's been another 10 or so? So maybe about 50 days or so. That's what I'm guessing.
I didn't see it yet, but we tivo's and plan to watch tonight. I think Henry's an other though. And them finding the baloon doesn't really tell much- if he's been there he would know if a baloon crashed, right? It doesn't mean that it was HIS balloon!
I think Henry is an Other, too. And, even if he's not, he's enough of a stupid a$$hole that they should kill him anyway! Who taunts the people who are holding them hostage?!? IDIOT! I really think though that he is an Other and the mind games he's playing are all part of the 'experiments' that they're conducting on the Losties.
As for Sun's baby not being Jins, I don't believe that. Even though they said it was Jin that couldn't have children, they didn't give a specific diagnosis, say what their chances were, nothing. IRL most fertility diagnosis are just best-guess anyway, and even if someone is sub-fertile it doesn't mean that eventually it wouldn't just happen on it's own, especially when it's a male issue. And because of the bullhooey they gave in regards to Sun's 'diagnosis' and how incorrect that was in all aspects, I really don't take anything their doctor said as the end-all be-all truth.
Honestly, the actor that plays Sun has some weird facial expressions anyway, so I wouldn't read too much into them.

another thought- time moves so freaking slowly in this show. are they going to have Sun be preggo for the next 7 seasons?! I'm really curious to see wherethey go with this...

I saw that too! I guess I get used to it though, I watch tv mostly in Closed Captioning these days so I can keep the volume low for the kiddo, and I see BAD typo's and grammar all the time!

I agree with this. Plus, Locke can walk now, who is to say that the island didn't "heal" Jin in the same way? It was SO mean when he pulled up her garden though. And I really think they need to shoot all his scenes with his shirt off. But maybe it's just me
I don't know what to think about Henry. I still can't get him out of my mind as the guy that stalked Lindsey in The Practice & ended up getting his head cut off & put in the freezer.

Yes, I noticed this too! Glad to see there are others who found this as annoying as I did.
I think the baby is Jin's...while Sun wanted to leave him, having an affair does not seem like something she would do. And like someone else noted, it could be the island has "healed" him, just as it did for Locke.
I definitely think Henry is an Other. Even if the map he drew leads them to a balloon, that doesn't mean that he crashed in it. The Others could have planted it for them to find.
I'm so glad that they're not showing a rerun this week. That was getting really annoying. I know they want to drag the season out for as long as possible, but I think they're alienating some of the fans by doing so.
