After you buy anything new (clothes/shoes/jewelry/etc.), how long do you wait before you wear it? I know I'm nuts, but I usually have new things in my closet for months at a time, but I'm trying to change that; week before last, my new suit I brought from Ross (w/detroit's GREAT help!), I wore it two days after I brought it - that's a record for me! LOL Jewelry will (as much as I love it) will sit for a long while, then I'll forget I have it! LOL The earrings I have on today, brought them Friday, so that's 3 days. Wow. LOL I dare not get into the shoes category.....
What about you?

I wait a long time. They are so perfect hanging in my closet- no wear or stains. I know that once I get my hands on them they are going to have tomato sauce stains all down the front of them.
I bought a butt load of tanks last weekend I will probably not wear them until the end up May. I am like that w/ a lot of things though. If I get a new book, game, cd, movie- anything I wait so long to open it. You should seem me after Christmas and my birthday.

I usually wear them right away! Although there is a skirt I got at Banana a few weeks ago that I haven't gotten to wear yet- still too cold. It's driving me nuts!
Usually when I go shopping it's because I want something to wear later that night or the next day. I almost cannot stand buying several things at once because I have such a hard time deciding what to wear first. So I seriously can't wait to wear new clothes, haha.

Generally, if the weather is appropriate, I'll wear a new item within a week. However, I often buy things out of season to save $$, so it isn't unusual for me to wait several months.
It is sometimes hard for me to break the seal w/ shoes tho. They are so pretty and perfect when they are fresh and new right out of the box.
I often buy things because I desperately need them, so I wear them pretty soon after buying them.
Shoes are a different story. I usually will go shoe shopping looking for something specific. This weekend, I set out on a shoe mission. I wanted a pair of brown wedges. I left with a pair of black velvet and satin-y flats. Its going to take me a while to try and fit these into my wardrobe. Plus, I don't want to ruin them.
I am terrible with new clothes in that I can't stop wearing them! I seem to wear things to death when I first get them and then get so sick of them I don't wear them forever. The only new stuff that doesn't get worn immediately due to being out of season gets worn as soon as possible, and I stare at that stuff almost daily.
As soon as possible. I'm already planning an outfit with the clothes that I bought over the weekend to wear to my shopping day Thursday! This is very very typical for me. I think I'm scared if I don't put the clothes (shoes, bag) in play right away that I will never wear them.

I usually can't wait to wear my new stuff, however I do love looking through my closet finding things with tags still on them - an instant mood lifter! I must stop buying handbags (more like clutches). Hardly ever remember to use them, but I'm quite content 'having' them and looking at them. What a dork!!!
It really varies with me. I have a couple things I have never worn like a black skirt that I bought about two years ago. It's a good basic to have (like if I ever need to go to a funeral I won't need to go shopping when I'm grieving). Or a bad purcahse like dressy plaid pants which look nice on me but have no where to wear them to) Some things I haven't worn yet because I bought it ahead of time and the season isn't right like my white jeans.
Wear right away: Basics, underwear, and casual apparel.
Takes a while: Usually seasonal items I purchase ahead of time, like my white pants which I cannot wait to wear!
Never touched: The black skirt in my closet (it's a good item to have, funerals happen, and I don't want to be shopping while I'm grieving). The bad purchase (I have a few things I thought I would be wearing but don't have a place to wear them to)
i tend to wait on wearing stuff. things can sit in my closet for awhile b/f i wear them. part of it is due to the way i shop, i hunt down specific pieces and when them when the time is right. also i have no problem buying stuff out of season. finally i try really hard to rotate my clothes so if i have a new piece that's perfect with a certain top i'll wait until it's time for the top to appear in the rotation again b/f i wear it.
I always wear my new stuff right away. I once read (in an effort to slow down the shopping) that you should never buy something you wouldn't wear the very next day. I think the meaning is not to be taken soo literal, but that you want to wear it the next day, even if for some reason (weather, for instance) you can't.
I usually wait a couple months before I start wearing new items. This is because I usually make impulse purchases and want to make sure I really love the item before I decide to keep it and wear it.

I'm also the same way about my shoes. Because they are so pretty and perfect, I don't want to ruin them. Therefore, it usually takes me awhile before I'll start to wear them.
Oh gosh, I never wait to wear my new stuff unless the weather doesn't permit. I'm an instant-gratification whore, so if I buy something, I want to wear it and wear it NOW.
The longest I waited was just under a year. I got this beautiful pink and red hoodie and I paid more for it than I wanted to. I am so glad I did thought. I love this thing and can't live without it now.

It depends. I do buy some off-season items, esp. if they're on a good sale, so it's entirely possible that I could buy boots in July and not be able to wear them until maybe November. Or the opposite with lighter, spring-type clothes as colder weather's approaching.
But if I buy something that's seasonally appropriate, it usually gets worn rather quickly.

Hmm, usually I can't wait to wear something, and even if it is out of season I work it in somehow! I do have some things that I found and got for the sake of having it as a basic - namely a straight black skirt, like Courtney - that took me almost 6 months to wear.
