Appliance: toss-up btwn large electric skillet (perfect for lots of french toast at once, or grilled cheeses) and my slow cooker Unusual Appliance: not sure if this is really unusual, but I love my belgian waffle maker Appliance That Was a Waste of $$: George Foreman grill (I know so many ppl love this - but I never use mine!) Cooking Item: Calphalon frying pan Baking Item: bundt pan Spice: garlic salt. Yeah, I'm not a very adventurous eater.... Condiment: ketchup Beverage To Have On Hand: milk Freezer Item: chicken, steak, etc, to avoid running to the grocery store every couple of days, and frozen veggies Pantry Item: soups Food Item You HAVE to Have in the Kitchen: eggs!
Unusual Appliance: Mr. Coffee Ice Tea Maker (it takes a couple of minutes for really good ice tea. i will also make iced coffee in the summer and iced chai or green tea.
Appliance That Was a Waste of $$: we never use the george forman grill. i guess if we had a newer model, that's easier to clean, i might use it more.
Cooking Item: i'm not sure i have one. that's kinda the purpose of this post.
Baking Item: my cheapy mixer. it's compact which is great for condo living, and it hasn't failed me yet. i'm just waiting for the motor to run out in the middle of cooking.
Spice: green chili tobasco sauce, it's not too spicy and it totally livens up my canned Fat Free lentil soup. i also love lemon pepper, red pepper flakes, and this blend of sun dried tomatoes, dried onion, oregano, basil, etc...we bought it from a pizza place because it's sooo good.
Condiment: taco bell mild sauce. we always have it on hand. also spicy mustard, f.f raspberry vinegarette dressing, ranch, and caesar dressing.
Non-Alcoholic Beverage To Have On Hand: coffee, teas, fat free creamer (i'll add it to tomato sauces, masheed potatoes, coffee, etc...)
Freezer Item: we have to have sorbet on hand. also, we always have frozen veggies and fish/chicken.
Pantry Item: tuna, craisins, oatmeal, mandarin oranges (for cottage cheese/salads), low fat kettle corn, chow mein noodles (for stir fry/salads), f.f refried beans, ww. pasta, tomato sauces, chocolate cake mix (so i can make soda cake if i want something sweet), dark chocolate, low sodium canned tomatoes.
Food Item You HAVE to Have in the Kitchen: ff. creamer, sweet n' low (it's sick how much i go through),peanut butter, dark chocolate, we go to a farmer's market once a week so we always have fruits and veggies, w.w. english muffins, egg whites, laughing cow cheese and honey.

Unusual Appliance: sandwich cooker, it makes grilled sandwichs and divides them into halves for you.
Appliance That Was a Waiste of $$: blender, i don't like margaritas and anything else that requires a blender i use in my food processer which holds twice as much as my blender.
Cooking Item: wooden spatulas and spoons, my 35 piece ronco knives with the scissors that cut pennies and the chop and serve knife.
Baking Item: my paistry blender and my hand mixer
Spice: cinamon, garlic, mrs. dash table top blend and original blend
Condiments: cream of chicken soup, heavy cream, condenced milk
Beverage to Have on Hand: milk, vodka
Freezer Item: stoffers lasagna and mac and cheese
Pantry Item: pasta, all kinds of sauces, alfredo, meat sauce, red sauce with veggies etc.
Food Item You Have to Have: italian sausage, CHEESE!!!!
Appliance: Tough choice - I use my coffee pot at least once a day. I also think I couldn't live without my Kitchen Aid stand mixer and my blender.
Unusual Appliance: All of mine are really standard, I think.
Appliance That Was a Waste of $$: I probably use the Foreman grill the least, but I don't really think it was a waste. I used to use it a lot when I was single.
Cooking Item: Wooden spoons - I can never have enough.
Baking Item: I don't really bake, but I have some antique heart shaped cake pans from my Grandma's kitchen that I love.
Spice: fresh cilantro, chives, and basil, garlic, black pepper, crushed red pepper, and cummin.
Condiment: balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, ranch dressing
Beverage To Have On Hand: water, red wine
Freezer Item: chicken, prawns, lean cuisine for when we are too lazy to cook
oh, these are amazing aren't they? I got two really cheap because they were marked wrong at LNT and I LOVE them! I want to invest in the silicon muffin pans one ofthese days. A little pricy, but soooo worth it!
Appliance That Was a Waste of $$: There's probably one sitting in a cabinet somewhere that is so useless I've forgotten I have it.
Cooking Item: spoon rest -hey, it's the only thing I've gotta have everytime!
Baking Item: Silpat
Spice: Salt and Pepper of course. I love spices and use them all, but S&P goes on everything!
Condiment: Olive Oil
Beverage To Have On Hand: Honest Tea, preferably in decaf & Pom Juice for DH
Freezer Item: Frozen veggies, just in case I find myself out of the fresh stuff
Pantry Item: Rice for DH
Food Item You HAVE to Have in the Kitchen: We always stock fresh salt-free nuts, dried fruits but especially figs (if you haven't tried figs stuffed with salt-free almonds do it!), honey (for dipping nuts into -it's so awesome for curing a sweet tooth), bread, cheese, my Honest Ice Tea, DH's Pom Juice, eggs (we eat 7 egg whites every day, so I pretty much buy a carton a day), home-made vaccum sealed frozen meals for DH for when I don't feel like cooking (right now the freezer is full with lasagna, meatloaf, jambalaya, gumbo...)
Appliance: fully automatic coffee maker (grinds beans, tamps beans and brews with one press of a button) i'm so in love.
Unusual Appliance: toaster oven. i'm the only one that seems to have one of these. i use it at least once a day.
Appliance That Was a Waste of $$: deep fryer. my husband has made homemade fries in it about 3 times and i've made homemade doughnuts once in the 3 years we've owned it.
Cooking Item: omelette pan
Baking Item: rimmed baking sheets
Spice: sea salt and black pepper
Condiment: i despise all condiments
Beverage To Have On Hand: izze sparkling fruit drinks — mostly for my guests. green and white tea for me, black tea for my english tea maniac husband.
Freezer Item: frozen mango, pineapple, berries and peaches for smoothies
Pantry Item: almonds, dark chocolate, walnuts, dried apricots and blueberries, golden raisins... all for snacking
Food Item You HAVE to Have in the Kitchen: a block of fresh parmesan cheese.
Appliance: stove Unusual Appliance: i have this thing called a "hotshot" it just heats up water. i use it ALL the time, mostly to make hot chocolate, or for tea. Appliance: programmable cuisinart coffee-maker--gets me going every morning! Unusual Appliance: hello kitty toaster that toasts imprints of miss kitty's face on each piece of toast. Appliance That Was a Waste of $$: cuisinart mini-prep. i usually just use my blender for the same purposes. Cooking Item: big red le creuset pasta pot Baking Item: i don't really bake much, but i do love the silicone muffin cups i got at sur la table that look like the old-fashioned pastel paper ones
Spice: paul prudhomme's blackened redfish magic for grilling fish. Condiment: champagne salad dressing, dijon mustard
Beverage To Have On Hand: water, beer (i don't really drink it, but i like having it for people who come over), iced tea, pomegranate juice, diet tonic water, club soda and limes to juice and put in any of the above
Freezer Item: lean cuisine! and frozen pizzas and fruits for smoothies. and vodka, of course.
Pantry Item: cans of soup, chicken stock, pasta sauce, dried fruits, almonds Food Item You HAVE to Have in the Kitchen: yogurt, apples, coffee and half and half
