If not, what are your favorite sites? This week I have been checking out sites--most of them new to me. So far my favorite is http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/
His focus is more on the males, but he catches some interesting looks on the female side of the fashion parade.
I don't read any other 'fashion' sites, per say. The other sites I check out are more political/social/cultural discussion-based. Fashion discussions there are the exception, and then they're usually "I can't believe how comfortable my Danskos are -- and stylish, too"

I really like http://www.brown712.com, she always features beautiful things. :)
Okay, seriously - was this a plug? Because the site has like 3 things listed. They're nice and all but it's not exactly something anyone could have been reading for longer than like, 2 days.
Is brown712 also kmd? I'm curious. What made you decide to start a fashion blog? Just 'cause or something else? I like the look of the site. It's nice and classy. And I do like the jade necklace but the Isabella Fiore shoes are not to my liking.
How do you choose what goes on your site? How many times a week do you update it? Etc., etc., etc.?
Does anyone here have her own fashion blog? If not, what are your favorite sites? This week I have been checking out sites--most of them new to me. My god there are some beautiful people in New York. Now I remember why I can't live there.
it is run by two college girls with really good taste. I also like finalfashion.blogspot.com and almostgirl.blogspot.com I think they are all in this fashion blog ring, but excellent reading!
No, it wasn't a plug and it's not my site. They just put up a new site, so that's why what is posted is limited, I guess. You can look it up, it's been around for a while.

i really like the pictures of people posted, but can't help feeling a bit disturbed at how many people are holding cigarettes in their hands. i would hate for young girls to start smoking just to emulate these "stylish" people.

I believe you. I wasn't knocking on you for plugging, if that's what you were doing (I know now it's not). I was just curious about how one goes about starting a fashion blog.
Ok, good. I'm glad I was able to clear that up. I just didn't want anyone to think I was spamming or anything. I like http://www.omiru.com/, as well. http://www.stylebytes.net/ is good, too. And, I dig htttp://www.showawa.com for shoes. Oh, and I love http://www.grechenscloset.com... it's not quite a blog, but more of an editorial type of site. I think a blog was recently added, though.
I'm actually a jewelry designer and I'm thinking about starting a site for fashion, too. You know, like reviews, I'd like to focus on smaller labels and emerging designers, like myself. :)

How are you doing it, Kitty? I attempted that about a year ago & it drove me nuts!
nice blog kmd!
Well, I went through various web sites and found photos of everything I've purchased in the last three months or so. Then, I tried to find photos of some of the key pieces I have on ebay. I actually managed to find a lot. I did take some photos of the easy stuff - shoes, jewelry, etc. I've probably only managed to add like 1/10 of my wardrobe..but, I figure I'll just do a little at a time when I get bored.
The virtual closet site doesn't seem very active though...
