Looking for some GOOD bath towels
Permalink Closed

Ok, I'm looking for NICER bathroom towels (face and body). I usually buy them from Wal-Mart, sometimes Target, but now I want to improve. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Marshalls, TJMaxx and the Homegoods store should have some good ones.

I got some from Macy's during their homegoods sales. So dept store sales can be a good time to pick up higher end brands.

department store home sales are the best times to get towels!

I like Ralph Lauren ones...they're quite plush.

wait for the "home" sale, not just regular sale, at bloomingdales or macy's.  they will always have the towels marked down an extra few dollars off the regular sale price.  i don't know if you like monogramming, but bloomingdales always does free monogramming, too, during their home sale--kinda cool.

I have bought from tons of places, but for whatever reason those places simply have the best, highest quality, longest-lasting, non-shrinking towels.  I only buy my linens from those places.  Plus, they always have a great selection, and good turn-over for new stuff.

We have a lot of Ralph Lauren towels-- We registered for some as well when we got married. We had the normal Polo ones with the horse on them and we registered for the Higher end Avenue ones---They aren't as nice as the Polo horse ones. They don't hold up in the wash and they fade but the Ralph Lauren ones with the Polo Horse are fabulous.
We have the High end ones in white, seafoam green (which faded) and a lavender color (also faded). They are all monogrammed and nice when you see them in the store but they unravel in the wash.

I'll join on the bandwagon about RL towels and all linens in general - and you can get great deals on them from Ross/Marshall's, etc.

Target has some new Bamboo-fiber towles which seem reqally nice too!

When shopping for towels check the tags for "made in" countries of Turkey, Egypt and Portugal. They make the best, softest, fluffiest towels.
